Why is Diggs not getting crapped on?

Sorry, but #1 WRs in the NFL who get paid that much money don't miss balls like that. I don't care about the weather. That ball couldn't have been more perfectly thrown if Josh ran up there and just handed it to Diggs.

He deserves as much blame for losing as anyone else.

Knox 2 key drops wind at back and costly red zone false start.

Re: Why is Diggs not getting crapped on?

They’re all too blame, that’s not a question. It was a perfectly thrown ball. Reason he’s not getting crapped on is because that’s so rare with Diggs. He turned the wrong way for a split second and it messed him up. I can forgive Diggs. I can’t forgive a ****ing defense that only sees 3 ****ing passes all night and can’t stop the run knowing every ****ing time their going to run. So Diggs drop is a bit easier to stomach, wasn’t an easy catch even tho he should have made it.
My faith doesnít make me perfect, it makes me forgiven.

The D gave up 1 TD. The O should have compensated. There was 30 minutes of back wind and they scored 3.

not counting the muffed punt gimme.

the D didn’t lose the game.

NE ran the ball 46 times and passed 3 times. In this day and age the final score should have been 10-0. But it’s a complete embarrassment on both sides of the ball.

Minus one big run the D held to 2 field goals. Way more Offense fault.

A bad turnover when they were driving, and two red zone trips that produced zero points. This game is definitely more on the offense.

One Dodson over pursuit and Harris goes 64 yards.
The Bills made far more errors than NE did, especially on offense, and that was the difference.

The D shouldn't have given up any points.

You don't lose a game where the opponent throws 3 times.

exactly. The better QB and Receivers out score them.

Totally agree. If you told me yesterday morning that we'd hold NE to 241 yards of offense and 14 points, I'd have said "wow our Defense really showed up." NE didn't even dominate the clock - possession was like 32-28 in their favor.

Our offense was almost exclusively the reason we lost this game. Go 1/4 in the red zone and punt twice from within NE's half in the first quarter and you will not win.

So tired of the pundits patting Belicheck on the back for genius in running the ball. Sorry, we outgained you (244 yards). Getting outgained on your way to 14 points is not offensive genius. If Diggs catches that long TD pass (or the short one in the 4th) than the Pats have to actually play offense and try firing Mac Jones' popgun into the wind. That loss was totally on the offense's inability to execute in the red zone.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?

We really needed to take advantage early of our great field position.
We do anything with those 1st two drives they can't stick with the run.

**** was not easy. It's amazing how you remember that play, but forget that insane back shoulder catch he made to get us going on that last drive. And he was open on that last drive, but Mitch Morse got his ass pounded, and Josh bailed or Diggs walks into the endzone.

Yeah, the guy couldn't bring in a difficult 50 yard throw that was being pushed by the wind, but he's the least of our issues.

Blaming Diggs for missing that catch is like blaming Bass for the missed 33 yarder. The ball was moving out there. That's why NE threw it 3 times.

NE threw it 3 times because we couldnt stop the ground game.

Re: Why is Diggs not getting crapped on?

It would have been a great catch, but he still could have caught it. That ball was moving all over the place in the air, those are tough to handle. I give him credit for just being in a position to have a shot at it, and even more credit to Allen for putting it up and giving Diggs a legitimate shot to make a play on the ball.

Yeah, he should have come down with it, but for every 'miss' like that Diggs probably has 20 catches that you wonder how he got it.

Nope. Announcers even detailed that this was a ball thrown over his inner shoulder. He looked that way. The ball drifted outside with the wind. He tried to adapt while the ball was in the air. Not his fault. Fact.

McDermott looking weaker and weaker IMO. He's only as good as his coordinators. His coordinators are struggling to overcome personnel weaknesses. The GM is on the hook as are the rest here. Taking 3 DEs in the last 2 drafts instead of a guard is baffling. I guess that answer the GM would have given back in April is that Hughes will be gone and the Cody Ford is coming back. This GM too stubborn to his draft picks. Can't let go when he sees them not working out. Glaring examples should be Ford & Knox for him.
