If Shoen and Dabol are gone....

I hope they go to Chicago and that they bring Mitch back with them. I'd prefer they go to the NFC so i can actually root for them. And the Bears... I mean. Who doesn't like the Bears? So horribly run for so many years. If we're going to lose our guys, i'd like for them to go and resurrect a team like the Bears.
All Hail Josh Allen! Savior of the Buffalo Bills!

I hope Daboll realizes that his job interview isn't actually over.

If he wants that job then let him and Frazier earn it.

Nobody has been offered anything yet so who know's really.

Nothing to be concerned with right now.

JMO these interviews shouldn't be allowed until the season is over.

Re: If Shoen and Dabol are gone....

It going to suck to lose either of them to say nothing of both.

I do think Dorsey has been long regarded within the organization as the next up. I think he's ready and he has a good relationship with Josh. So that's a positive.

But losing Leslie feels worse to me. I know, i know... McDermott is a defensive guy and all that. But he's also the head coach. And a proper head coach, IMO, doesn't have time to also be a defensive or offensive coordinator.

I know who our OC will be when Dabol moves one. Does anyone know who our DC is going to be when we lose Frasier??? because i don't. And it worries me.

We are an attractive place for a recently fired HC who is a very good DC come and recharge their resume for another shot.

Flores! It would be quite an interesting hire assuming Leslie is gone. The two men couldn't be more different. Frasier is like Yoda. Zen. Calm. No drama.

Flores is definitely a good one though.

The Bears arent bringing in someone who is not going to agree to Fields being the QB. Mitch isn't going back to Chicago with Fields there.

That's true. I didn't even think about who CHI had at QB. That's how bad their offense has been.

I'm worried Daboll will take Dorsey with him as his OC.

If I owned the Bills I’d pay Daboll and Frazier so much $ they wouldn’t whiff a head coaching job until we win the SB. Then I don’t care. Josh McDaniels style.

No way Trubisky goes to Chicago again.

If that trio goes together it's most likely to the Giants, IMO. If Daboll goes to Miami he's probably OK rolling with Tua.

I've read that like Daboll/Dorsey, DL coach Eric Washington is figured next man up as DC.

I don't really see McDermott going outside the family for a coordinator.

That's a thing too. It's not like there's a salary cap for coaches.

And do you honestly think it's a good career move for one of these guys to work for Ross in Miami? REALLY??? I don't know that much about the Chicago ownership situation other than it can't be great.

still... they're both really good at their jobs and i'm sure they want to prove themselves at the highest level.

Just be careful what you wish for...

I was thinking E. Washington myself. I think Dorsey is a no brainer.

Seriously, Culley walked away with 22 million letting himself get porked by the Texans. It's good to prove yourself at the highest level if you have the fire, but in any case, you can walk away with some soothing green for your monthly budget, and probably have another job waiting because you were a victim of circumstance.

Even getting 5 million dollars to fail working for a bumpkin, then going back to what you do best for a real team probably doesn't hurt so much when you decide to retire. Gotta wonder what anyone thinks is a good career move if the money is happy happy.

It's not a good career move, but they'd be crazy not to take a bad career move for the money anyway.

Having no pride can be lucrative. Look at Adam Gase.

dude wrote the book on it! Hell, he even said as much. I don't remember the exact context, but he was quoted as saying essentially "who cares, i'm rich!" when someone brought up how awful his coaching career was going. I'm sure you read it too.

I can't disagree. If someone offered me that kind of money i'd take it in a heart beat, try my best and let the chips fall where they may. Even just scoring a few years as an NFL HC with average pay is life changing wealth. It's like winning a lotto ticket except you have to work a really hard job for a person that is so wealthy that they likely do not live in reality. I'd do it!

Spot on! NO WAY the fans in Chicago would allow that to happen.

Justin Fields is the future of that franchise, and Daboll would be a perfect fit to develop that young, talented QB.

I hope that Daboll does not go to Miami. We don’t need to help a team in our division.

No one has any idea where Trubisky will end up next year. I have a feeling that he will get a solid chance at being a starter again (sooner or later), and in the right situation he could succeed.
