I would add Efe Obada to that list to retain. Probably be close to what he was paid in 2021...only $1.5.

Maybe Boettger for depth. And Siran Neal has some real value because of his size. Another cheap depth signing.

Cole Beasley is ripe for cutting. Saving $6 million is huge, and McKenzie can more than fill his cleats.

Morse is going to be very tempting to move on from. $8.5 million cap savings. He’s extremely expensive and Feliciano can play center at a high level at about half the cost.....$4.8 million for 2022.

Don't understand what the love for Harrison Phillips is about. Just because a couple of local media people claim he's better, he's not. He still can't hold a candle to Kyle Williams. He can't shed blocks like Williams could and is one big reason the run defense stinks.

Obada did nothing except against Carolina.

I wouldn't gripe if they kept all of them, but I doubt that will happen.

If the cheap depth guys want to come back and remain cheap depth guys, I'm all for it.

The problem is the Bills have zero game changers at DT besides Oliver. The rest are all interchangeable. Harry is a likeable guy, who does a lot for the community. It's not hard to see why fans love him.

Addison is good, and I wouldn't be upset if they re-signed him, but not at 10 million a year. He's not worth nearly that.

Mitch Morse probably had his best season this past year, there is no way he should go anywhere yet. Maybe re-structure and draft his future replacement, but he should still be the center in '22.

Re: IF this list is correct. . . .

I don't feel super comfortable letting both Hughes and Addison walk unless we sign a FA. Rousseau, Basham and Epenesa are not yet proven enough to roll with--and drafting another one doesn't solve that. I'd see what we can find in free agency and if there's not an upgrade, bring Hughes back at a reduced rate. Rousseau Basham and Epenesa are not power guys, and to me Hughes brings something different, even if he's not as quick as he used to be.

On the signed roster, everyone's talking about Star and Beasley as potential cap cuts, but how about AJ Klein (saves $5.1M)? We can find LB depth for less or draft it (LBs learn quick). Also, Darryl Williams is on a Tackle contract, and we could save $6.6M by cutting him (or threaten to cut and restructure him to a G contract). While our line was playing well the last 6 or so games, we could probably upgrade Williams for similar or less money.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?

I'm failing to see the point here.

Hughes was about a second away from hitting Mahomes from the opposite side of the line.

It was a response to a comment saying Hughes looks done.

I'd just watched this video showing him busting clean through the line about a half second from ending the game so I shared it.

I guess the point was he would feel differently if anyone else had been playing defense on that play.

I wonder if Trubisky doesn’t go with Daboll, if he re-signs again?

Understand the sarcastic nature of the post I quoted now.

Also I think Hughes should be brought back, if he takes a team friendly deal. I honestly don't see why he wouldn't.

We'll find out what Daboll thinks of Mitch though, that's for sure.

If we hear no rumors of Mitch to NYG then we'll know Daboll didn't really care for him.

Especially since Daniel Jones just cannot be the guy going forward.

    Frankly I consider cutting:

    Morse - 7 mil savings
    Beasley - 6 mil
    AJ Klein - 5 mi
    Feliciano - 3.5
    FOrd - 1.5

That's like 24 mil in savings. Resign McKenzie for much less to replace Beasley. Revamp the line (Feliciano i like, but he isn't reliable)
I wouldn't cut Morse. He's played well and been really important to the OL. He seems like an older player, but he's only 29. Plenty of good years still in front of him and I don't think it makes sense to create a hole at a critical position. They could still reduce his cap number by at least a few million with an extension.

If we're going to cut a starting OL, I would consider Daryll Williams first. He would save $6 mil and it would probably be easier to get a younger cheaper player at RG that wouldn't be a downgrade.

I would consider saving another $2.5 mil with Matakevich also, but they seem to really like him for ST. LB Andre Smith would also save another $1.2 mil.

I agree with this list, but I would add Zimmer too. He should be cheap coming off injury and I like him as a rotational player behind Oliver.

It's interesting that they list a market value for Levi Wallace on spotrac. They're predicting a 3 yr $28+ mil contract or $9.6 mil annual average. That's pretty steep and more than I would have guessed. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but he's been such a bargain the last couple years. It might be tought to fit him in. I know Tre may not be ready to return at the start of the season, but I'd consider rolling with Dane Jackson as CB2 and drafting some competition/depth.

They project Phillips market value at $5.4 mil per year. That seems reasonable to me.
