What no LB's. How can we go into the season with only the 15 we have.

No really big surprises..although do we really think Evans is that close to being NFL caliber?

Probably, he's inexpensive and passes bounce off his chest just like our other safties.

He can't ... rules of the practice team don't allow for players with NFL playing experience as he had last season.

correct...he had to have been on an active NFL roster less than 6 games.

8/31 bills reduce roster to 53. i printed the final list and jason johnson wasn't on it.

Not too much of a surprise, I'm Glad Simonton and Johnson got on the PS, insurance is always good to have.

I just read that any team can sign any player from another team's practice squad. Is this correct?

League rules, teams have to make their final cuts and set their 53 man roster before they sign players to their practice squad. Buffalo followed the league norm in setting things up. Most players on NFL practice squads are from among that teams final cuts, but technically sthey can sign any player from any team as long as that player hasn't played 6 or more games as The Philster mentioned.

That's correct, socalfan. Any player on any team's practice squad is fair game for any team to sign. It happens too. I can't think of any for sure, but I'm pretty sure TD has already signed at least one player from another team's practice squad during his Buffalo tenure. Mike Houghton comes to mind. Was he on the Packers practice squad when Buffalo signed him. Years ago I think Steve Tasker was a practice squad player for another team when Buffalo signed him. I'm sure Buffalo has lost players from their practice squad too.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I believe the team has a right to match but would have to cut someone else. Not sure though.

Actualy, he was waived by the Oilers and we put in a claim and got him
