Commanders… any early thoughts?

So Bills are (currently) -6.5 for the game in DC. Commanders are the forgotten team in the NFC East for no other reason other than Giants have Daboll and all our castaways, I got an Eagles fan next door and they were in the Super Bowl, and of course the hatred for Dallas

Washington… had the 2 name changes and the whole Dan Snyder thing. I kinda lost track.

QB named Sam “Thurston” Howell… decent enough numbers.

I can tell you this: there are going to be a LOT of Bills fans at this game.

Washington fans are returning now that Snyder is out, but tens of thousands of Bills fans bought tickets long before that happened. I think it’s going to demoralize the Commanders and energize the Bills.

But we all know what this game- and really every Bills game- is about: which Josh shows up? If the LV Josh shows up, there are only maybe 3 teams in the league that might be able to keep up, and Washington isn’t one of them. If Jets Josh shows up, any team in the league can beat us.

Gotta run a balanced attack .... I watched their game against the Broncos and to be beat em you gotta spread the ball around .... their front four is good .... can't be holding the ball too long against them. On offense Robinson Jr. is a big back ..... he'll be a challenge. McLaurin is a very good WR.

Eric Bieniemy is their OC and he's doing a decent job.

Gotta keep QB Howell in the pocket .... he has some running ability.

Logan Thomas last time I looked was in concussion protocol.

If he plays ..... well we all know what he's capable of.

This should be a similar beat down to what we just did to the Raiders, with a little bit closer score simply because it's not at home. These are the kind of teams Buffalo has built their reputation on, a weak sister that is essentially 'fair to middlin' on paper and the field. Against LV the team showed a little bit of that humility and hunger they always speak about, and they appeared pretty laser-focused. We'll find out if that stuck or if they relax a bit again.

Their skill players are pretty good with Robinson in the backfield and McLaurin, Dotson and Samuel a solid 3wide at receiver. They very well may have as good as (on paper better) defensive line than the Jets. Young, Payne, Allen and Sweat can all be game-wreckers. Not much behind them, though, so Josh shouldn't have any issue getting rid of the ball quickly.

Play like they did against Vegas. Mistake free, run the ball, don't get greedy. On defense don't allow big plays and harass Howell, as he's prone to making mistakes

I would like to see more 3.9 ball in air averaging. Pass rush needs to disturb. Sure sacks are nice but pressures and disrupting timing is almost as good.

If you're still a true contender....if you want to show everyone that your window is still open.... this is a team you really need to beat, on the road.

Of course I believe the Bills win this game.

The specter of “Jets Josh” is extremely unlikely. That game was a major wake up call for Josh. He’s never lost more than two games in a row since he’s been in the league.

But, Washington is not a team to be taken lightly.

I suspect this is either going to be the Bills blowing Washington out, or a very close one. Either win by two+ TD’s or win by one or two points.

Washington announced a sellout this week, their second straight after having the worst attendance in the league last year.

That’s how much fans hated Snyder.
