Denney named starter...

Denney, handed the vacant starting left end position heading into training camp, performed extremely well in the preseason with nine tackles and two forced fumbles and held off a host of challengers to secure the job.

I'm hoping the kid's going to be good I hope he's not starting just because he's our only option even though he sucks. Guess we'll find out shortly!

Is this an indication of how good he is or how bad his challengers were. I hope it works out, but I wasn't overly impressed....I think that he is a little too light in the a$$ and gets overpowered. Everytime I saw him he was getting ground into the turf by a single lineman. :church:

From what he has done in preseason its a toss up it may depend on the day and mood for a bit atleast until we see him in regular season games sort of how edwards played last year would come in have a couple great games and then have a couple of real busts.

I think Kelsay may challenge for the starting spot very soon. Kelsay is fast, athletic, and has a nonstop motor.

I think Denney will do a formittable job and with Kelsay and McKenzie coming in here and there I like our rotation system!:)

he's the best option right now ... i expect him to hold his own... he wont be spectacular..but solid hopefully.
