The problem with this world is everyone gets their own facts and they bunker in with them and get offended any time someone suggests that maybe their "facts" are wrong. No one is interested in information anymore. Just confirmation of already held beliefs even if those beliefs are demonstrably based on false information. We live in an age where people are simultaneously more opinionated than ever and less willing to listen than ever. It's a toxic mix. Throw in the anonymity of the internet and you have this embarrassment of a society we wake up to every day.

People listen, but not very well on the internet.

Lots of people like to win arguments on the internet at whatever compromise of their own true beliefs. Being anonymous and not accountable to any notion of integrity, as they would if they were talking to people who know them, makes it easy do so.

Did he get driven to that insane asylum by people who were offended by his posts?

Ideas and opinions are not scary. The ones you don't like... the ones that challenge your beliefs. Those are the best ones. If you're up for it. Or just go back to your bunker and get dumber if you'd rather do that. I don't give a ****. But i'll call it what it is 100% of the time.

When you say"everyone," it wouldn't be unfair to wonder if that is what you think of everyone who might disagree with you.

If we wish others to engage with each other more mindfully and objectively, then don't we also need to emulate that? Maybe by not calling other people who mean well "clowns?"

I don't see any harm in worrying and speculating what our owner could be sick of. Based on the timeline and lack of updates I have narrowed it down to a high % as have others as to what she may be going through, and it appears serious. Of course it can't be discussed in here without "offending" someone. ****ing pathetic. Instead, it turns into a political thread which is of course OK. So I'm going to say it. We all know she didn't break a leg. It's most likely vascular and she may or may not recover at all or fully and we're all hoping she does. But it's pretty scary and serious. I don't see this as a classless statement and don't see the harm in stating the rather obvious. If I'm wrong it's probably worse than this so lets hope it's not. I'm not trying to spread rumors, I don't have a Twitter account, just using some basic common sense.
