Marv Levy earns induction into CFL Hall of Fame

Marv Levy already is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame after an illustrious career as head coach of the Bills. On Friday night, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame will induct the former Montreal Alouettes coach in its Hall of Fame.

Bud Grant and Warren Moon are the only other people in the CFL Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Grant coached both the Vikings and Winnipeg. Moon played for the Oilers, Vikings, Seahawks and Chiefs after beginning his pro career with Edmonton.

I read Marv's book. I don't remember if he said this himself, or if he was quoting someone else, but when he went to the CFL, he discussed debating what to do with the 12th player.

Someone said to flank him out wide by the sideline. The D will have to put a CB on him, then they can just play regular football with the other 11 guys.

That always made me laugh.

Still in yards, 110 though. I think you may be on to something as this year the CFL has moved the hash marks closer to the middle of the field to try to get guys to use all of it. The wide side was such a long throw it was rarely used.
