If he doesn't come back, it means the Bills kicked him to the curb. I heard that his knees are shot.

He's just not as effective .... what's wrong with him I'm not really sure.

If he still had the level of skill required he'd not have been left out of our plans.

I think the Bills are going to be fine on the offensive line. Spencer Brown came to the NFL as a small college guy and had to start a lot sooner than you might typically plan for a guy with that background. I expect Spencer is going to be greatly improved this season, and Roger Saffold is an upgrade over Williams at guard. Their depth is at least as strong as it was last season.

I've heard some say Saffold was a liability in pass pro, but PFF said he gave up 2 sacks all last season, and Matt Stafford isn't exactly Josh when it comes to escaping the pocket.

Cap reasons I agree .... the numbers just didn't make sense.

If he is ever brought back it will be because he can win the job or be a 1st line backup at a reasonable contract.

All we need is a "Dooley"

I'm looking forward to seeing Dawkins not being hampered by COVID for most of the season, Brown's taking the next step at RT, Bates finally starting but at RG, what Saffold can add and what Kromer can do with the whole bunch. My concern is with Saffold because of his age and injuries. Apparently if he gets hit a certain way, his arm goes numb.

Dawkins is a beast and the anchor for the O-line. If Brown fulfills his promising start, the Bills are in good hands for years to come. Bates has come a long way from an undated FA. The Bills must have a lot of confidence in him to secure him until the end of 2025 season.

That’s three solid players that are 28, 25 and 24 years old.

Depth is a concern as is drafting some young talent to develop. Morse and Saffold are on the downsides of their careers.
