1) Do not let a sub-par 2021 campaign -- by his incredibly high standards -- overshadow the fear factor created by former regular season and Super Bowl MVP. Mahomes has the capacity to shred defenses with a variety of laser-like tosses from inside and outside of the pocket. The sixth-year pro has dazzled the football world with his ability to throw the ball down the field, but 2022 could give him a chance to showcase a more disciplined and patient approach.
2)Allen is a freak show at the position, possessing super-sized dimensions with A-plus arm talent and athleticism. It’s hard to find 6-foot-5, 237-pound quarterbacks with the capacity to throw the ball over the top of the defense or run through a defense on designed QB runs and impromptu scrambles. Allen has put up MVP-like numbers over the past couple years while emerging as one of the premier offensive weapons in the game. As a modern-day single-wing quarterback with a unique set of skills, opposing coaches must craft game plans that account for a dynamic runner and thrower at the position.
3) The four-time MVP is no longer the athlete he once was, but that does not make him a lesser threat at the position. Rodgers continues to torment opponents with a beautiful mind and mythical arm that enables him to pick apart defenses with exceptional pre-snap reads and post-snap throws. He routinely throws receivers open against tight coverage with pinpoint tosses while also showing the ability to toss rainbows over the top of the defense when defenders make a mistake in coverage.
4) The so-called slump from the former NFL MVP in 2021 has led some observers to have amnesia when recalling Jackson’s impact as a playmaker on the perimeter. After tallying a pair of 1,000-yard seasons as a rusher, defensive coordinators are well aware of his ability to take over the game on the ground. No. 8 is an explosive runner with superb ball-handling skills as an option quarterback executing a variety of power-read and counter-read plays.
5) It’s easy to see why Brandon Staley has so much confidence in his quarterback. Herbert has compiled gaudy numbers in his first two NFL seasons while displaying the IQ, athleticism, arm talent and swagger to develop into an all-timer at the position. Measuring 6-foot-6, 236 pounds with the ability to throw the ball out of the stadium or hit a bullseye on the dartboard, the third-year pro is the prototype at the position as a passer. Herbert can throw with touch, timing and anticipation or fire the ball through tight windows between the hashes. As a former three-sport star in high school with light feet, the big-bodied QB can make plays outside of the pocket, too.

Jesus. Will you PLEASE STOP the incredibly childish and insipid repeated posting of this awful, ignorant image???
I mean, once is too many times.
As I said in another of several threads where your spread this stupid ****....
I little arrogant for this kind of hubris.
No, Josh Allen is NOT Mahomes daddy. I wish it were true, but, it’s just not. And probably never will be.
Jimkelly12203 (07-07-2022)
Yeah, I hate arrogance and trash talking, too. I can tolerate it slightly more when it's true, but I have zero tolerance for it when it's not being backed up.
That's why Donte Whitner is probably my least favorite Bills player of all time. We've had plenty of guys who were bigger busts/disappointments than him, but he wouldn't stop flapping his gums in interviews and on social media even though he was average on the field.
notacon (06-28-2022)
You would NEVER see, or hear, Josh Allen trash talking about Mahomes....or the other way around.
Especially with the kind of childish bullcrap that picture represents. It SHAMES every Bills fan here....and is an EMBARRASSMENT!!!!
I vote for the Admins to DELETE the image from every post where it is used.
Troll, Troll, Troll your posts

Mahomes and Allen are essentially the exact same QB passing the ball the last 2 years. But Allen has 1500 yards rushing and 15 rushing TDs in that span. That’s without being gifted 20% of his yards on passes behind the LOS and 20% of his TDs on gadget plays (Allen had 5% of his yards behind the Los and 0 TDs on gadget plays/screens)
Allen’s better and it’s not that close

We'll see where Mahomes is this season. Hill is a huge loss.

Hardly any effect.
The loss of Hill may have an effect on number of wins (along with the increased competition in the AFC West), but Mahomes is an elite QB....although the Chief’s record went down 2 wins from 2020 to 2021 even with Hill. Would not surprise a bit if they went down two more wins in 2022 to 10.
He makes WR’s elite around him.
The biggest question is how much losing Mahomes effects Hill. Tua is NOT elite or anywhere the quality of Mahomes (although he might develop into one)

BTW Cali, almost every single stat for both Allen and Mahomes favors Mahomes. Both for their career and each season.
Your request for "one stat or reason that mahomes is in Allen’s ball park” is more, the only stat you have used is rushing stats to put forth the lunatic idea that "Allen is a much much better player than mahomes. It’s not that close”.
NO ONE wants Josh Allen to continue to run the ball like he has been forced to because the Bills do not have an above average RB. Mahomes has even more ability to avoid the rush than Allen, but instead of running the ball upfield, Mahomes finds the open receiver to make big plays.
Your premise is silly as it is void of facts or evidence.
Oh...and even the rushing stats between Mahomes and Allen are not that different.
In 2021 Allen averaged 6.3 yards per rush....Mahomes avenged 5.8.
In 2020 Allen averaged 4.1 yards per rush....Mahomes averaged 5.0.
For Josh Allen’s career, he has averaged 5.5 yards per carry.
For Patrick Mahomes career, he has averaged 5.0 yards per carry.
The fun police showed up quick in this thread.
