    Re: 2022 Weekly Picks

For better or worse (probably worse) these are my week 6 picks....

    Week 6
    Washington Commanders at Chicago Bears
San Francisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons
New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns
New York Jets at Green Bay Packers
    Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
    Minnesota Vikings at Miami Dolphins
Cincinnati Bengals at New Orleans Saints
Baltimore Ravens at New York Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Pittsburgh Steelers
Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams
    Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs
    Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers

My “feel good” pick is Giants over Baltimore. What a great story Brian Daboll is. He’s an early favorite for coach of the year.

    Re: 2022 Weekly Picks

I caught the last two minutes when I got up to get ready for work and wth? I'm so glad I didn't see this game. Both mom and I picked the Bears to win. It seems like other than week 1 (I'd have to go back and check) - I just can't get the TNF pick right.

I had the Bears also. They had a chance to pull it off, Mooney just needed a clean catch.

What a terrible game. The Bears had several chances to get a win. Fumbling a punt return on their own 6 yard line was inexcusable. Getting inside the Commanders 5 yard line TWICE and coming up with ZERO points was like getting a colonoscopy without a sedative.

Wentz is washed up. He is backup material, if that. Why they don’t play Heinicke (or even Howell) is inexplicable. Looks like Rivera is on the hot seat, or at least should be. The Washington franchise is a ****ing dumpster fire. They take the lead from their scumbag owner.

As the announcers and the post game analysis pounded on, Fields is being completely misused by a rookie HC who is apparently too pig headed to scheme an offense that fits Fields’ obvious elite talent.

This is prefect example of a coaching staff ****ing up a potential star QB. It’s really ugly to watch. If I was a Bears fan, I would be LIVID, and call for Eberflus’ head.

Bears and Commanders fans have this ****show to put up with, while us Bills fans (and the whole NFL world) are looking forward to one of the best games of the year this Sunday. I truly feel sorry for them.

    Re: 2022 Weekly Picks

I was in first place after last week on another message board's pickem league with Yahoo.com that has close to 100 participants.

    My picks for last week.
    Denver over Indianapolis
    Green Bay over NY Giants
    Buffalo over Pittsburgh
    LA Chargers over Cleveland
    Minnesota over Chicago
    New England over Detroit
    Seattle over New Orleans
    NY Jets over Miami
    Tampa Bay over Atlanta
    Tennessee over Washington
    Jacksonville over Houston
    San Francisco over Carolina
    Dallas over LA Rams
    Philadelphia over Arizona
    Baltimore over Cincinnati
    Kansas City over Las Vegas

    12 - 4
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

    Re: 2022 Weekly Picks

I started this week behind the 8 ball as I let making my picks slip until after the Thursday night game started. I'm staring out with only thirteen games to choose from instead of 14.

    My week 6 picks:
    San Francisco over Atlanta
    Cleveland over New England
    Green Bay over NY Jets
    Indianapolis over Jacksonville
    Miami over Minnesota
    Cincinnati over New Orleans
    Baltimore over NY Giants
    Tampa Bay over Pittsburgh
    LA Rams over Carolina
    Seattle over Arizona
    Buffalo over Kansas City
    Philadelphia over Dallas
    LA Chargers over Denver

I don't pretend to be any kind of expert. My presumption is that Vegas oddsmakers are the experts. For that reason, I am careful not to pick too many underdogs as outright winners. Nor do I pick prohibitive underdogs as outright winners. Sometimes the oddsmakers are wrong and a prohibitive underdog wins, but you'll come out behind if you pick them to win. I will pick 2 to 4 underdogs per week just to make it interesting. There wouldn't be much point in joining a pickem league and only picking favorites every week.

I went in the tank this week. Still awaiting the Sunday night outcome, I have 5 right. Sometimes this is a week like this where underdogs are win all over the place. I got one of the winning dogs and missed 5 of them, not counting the Thursday night game in which I never even mad a pick. It looks like Philly is going to beat Dallas barring a major comeback for the 'boys. Then we'll see if the Chargers can hold off Denver. I'm still tied for first. I had sole possession before Thursday.

Mom is kicking everyone’s ass. I had a decent week of 9-5. I’m 50-43 for the season. A pretty dismal .538. Mom is killing both of us for the season.

Last week I said that "Week 6 looks like it has many sure winners....which means I’ll probably have the worst week of the year.”

Yeah....the supposed sure things were plenty......NOT!!!!

Jets going into GB and embarrassing the Packers????

Pittsburgh coming off an ass beating at the hands of Buffalo and snake biting Tampa Bay???

Week seven has several of these too.

How do you pick Cleveland over Ravens, in Baltimore???
How do you pick Atlanta over the Bengals, in Cincy???
How do you pick Washington over Green Bay after their last debacle??
How do yu pick Houston over the Raiders, in Las Vegas????
How do yu pick Detroit over the Cowboys, in Dallas????

The answer is that you don’t. And it’s a sure thing that several of those will go to the underdog. The mystery is...which ones????

    Re: 2022 Weekly Picks

My record is so bad I really don't know what the heck it is.

I predict this week will be my best

Not a real high bar so maybe I'll clear it.

    Maybe I need a peek at mom's picks 1st.

    Re: 2022 Weekly Picks

With Russell Wilson officially “out” for this game with Brett Rypien making his first start since 2020 (when in week four the winless Broncos got their first win of the season against the winless Jets) I am changing my pick for that game....

    Week 7
New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals
    Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
    Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals
    Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants at Jacksonville Jaguars
    Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
Green Bay Packers at Washington Commanders
New York Jets at Denver Broncos
Houston Texans at Las Vegas Raiders
Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Chargers
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers
    Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins
Chicago Bears at New England Patriots

The Denver offense has sucked even with Wilson. The chances it will get better with Rypien is doubtful. The Jets defense has been playing very well, and was going to be hard for Denver to counter.

Because of the awful play of Wilson .... i was hoping for the switch and it was the reason i took the Broncos.

    Go Broncos Go!

I'll be rooting for these teams this week!

    1) Atlanta

    2) Denver

    3) San Fran

    4) Pittsburgh

    5) Chicago

There are more but I'll stop with these 5.
