He's not going to publicly dis his head coach after one game.

It really was a perplexing decision. Converting on a 4th and 5 is pretty low odds, but not as low as a 64 yard FG. Plus, I think they would have had to use a timeout on that play, but that would have left two timeouts left so there's still a chance they could have gotten the ball back for another play or two if they could have forced a 3 and out.

And, I know this goes beyond just the gameday decision, but they paid Wilson a **** ton of money. It's hard to defend giving a guy such a huge payday if you think a 64 yard kick is better odds than him getting 5 yards.

1 was in Denver & 1 was in the Lions indoor stadium. There has never been an outdoor kick from that long except 1 time in Denver's thin air. So Hackett thought something that has never been done in league history is "field goal range" as he said in his post game presser.

They were saying on the broadcast the Donkey kicker had a better percentage over 50 away from mile high. The O wasn't moving very well. I can see having a shot at it verse nothing but 64 yards is a long shot.

Not really. If you read the whole thing, he's kind of odd about it, going on to say that 64 yard boundary was their goal back to the game plan for a gamewinning field goal attempt.
