Here's a fun fact: tage Thompson is better than Eichel. As amazingly crazy as that sounds, it's true!

Interesting in that the Sabres did next to nothing in the first period, while Anderson kept them in the game. It could have gone sideways quite fast.

You could see them coming around a bit in the 2nd period and failed scoring opportunities could have caved in their composure. Once Tage T scored that first goal, the weight was lifted off of them and they played loose and smart. In a blink, it was 3-0 and the game was ours. A great learning experience for the young guys.

They still have a ton to learn/experience this year. Learned some hard lessons already with the 8 game losing streak. It's still a rebuild year with the future in mind.

Their surplus of youth is certainly exciting, especially when it comes time to trade some of that in for established, yet still young players.

Get a goalie, let Levi play in Roch, and find a RHD and we got something

Tuned in a little late and Tage is already on the board. Forget 50. He could net 60.

    Re: 2022-2023 Sabres Thread

UPL's best game this year, IMO. He still struggles with rebounds but must work through it. Sabres outshot 41-21 but made the most of their opportunities early.

Went up 2-0 quickly with Tage and Tuch staying hot. Colorado started throwing a ton of shots on net while crowding the crease. They were pressing, instead of the Sabres.

D-men were shorthanded with Power hurt in pre-game and going with only 5 on the back line. Lyubushkin and Bryson on the trip but also too injured to go.

Major confidence builder.... Still have lots to work on. Losing a vast majority of faceoffs. I think Colorado had a 48-21 advantage. Ugh.. Back to .500
