So basically, no credit for OT or shootout losses? I'd be ok with that. No other sport gives a team credit for OT losses. Back when there were still ties, it made sense to give both teams a point when there was no winner. The old system was fine to me. I don't mind ties. I don't mind an OT loser getting nothing
If you do win percentage, do it this way: 100 p for regulation win. 67 for OT/SO win. 33 for OT/SO loss, 0 reg less

FWIW the Sabres are currently 3rd in the WC race. They trail the Caps by just 3 points, but the Sabres also have 3 games in hand. The 1st WC is Pittsburgh, who only has 3 more points than the Sabres with the same number of games played.
The 3rd team in our div is TB. They currently have 9 more points with 1 game in hand, so catching them isn't going to happen.
But, the WC remains a possibility.

That's the same conclusion The Hockey News came to insofar as the trade deadline goes; they note: "If (Adams) chooses to add, it's wise not to expect any blockbusters. A third-line winger and a third-pairing defenseman are likely additions to the roster.
