The Blue Jackets first 4 goals were good shots. Owen Power is not nearly what Dahlin is at quarterbacking the power play or playing the blue line when they are on an offensive push. He's very indecisive and should have shot the puck on net at several points last night and did not. He is still lacking in confidence. The Sabres missed Dahlin last night.
And Hinostroza is a nice guy and skates hard. Even has good hands and hockey smarts, but he's in no way good enough to play a regular shift as part of the top 6 forwards.
There are some specific spots that Adams could be upgrading for a play-off run. Defense, goaltending and winger. I'll have to wait to see how Stillman play, but you can't call him a top 6 defender. If he's better than Bryson, we should be happy. They need to look hard at Thatcher Demko. Also Adams has two trade chips he has to use in Portillo and Ryan Johnson. Get something for them. Send them both to Vancouver for Demko.

This isn't directly Sabres related, but the Sabres traded away Johannson, Gustafson and Eller for a young defenseman and picks (multiple transactions).
The Sabres broke them on Sunday and they are in full fire-sale mode

Could be like Tampa in 19. They hadn't played a meaningful game since Dec where as Columbus had been playing playoff hockey for months just to get in. This could be you guys but the B's have one last shot at it and they are loaded so it will be a toughy.
