Well, Timo Meier will NOT be part of the equation; per David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period(as well as other outlets), Meier is on the move to New Jersey. Yesterday's game against the Caps was fun to watch.
I remember watching the Sabres play the Caps shortly after Pegula bought the team. The Sabres were a team that still had some talent but, as much as I didn't want to admit it, they were looking like a team that needed to be retooled, if not rebuilt. Meanwhile, the Caps weren't quite there yet, but it was obvious that they were building toward something.
Yesterday felt like the opposite. The Caps felt like a team whose window had closed, whereas the Sabres felt like a team who isn't quite there yet but is on the verge of something.Comment
