He should be, but Davis will stick with him another season at least, because Davis won't want to admit he was that wrong.

    Still wondering about Arizona's Kingsbury.

      Broncos fire HC Hackett

C'mon Broncos win the 1st one for the new guy!

Senior assistant Jerry Rosburg will serve as the Broncos' interim coach for the remaining two games of the season, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero and NFL Network's James Palmer reported Monday, per sources.

Well at least he (Hackett) is finally off the seat .... what took so long Denver????

It sounds like the Texans are going to "evaluate Lovie Smith's future" at the end of the season.

and yet it took OT for KC to beat them with a friendly assist from the refs.

Kan Kliff Kingsury survive the kaos of kollapse, karing for his Kardinals ? Kan't imagine.

Will McDaniels survive year 1 ? Could Vrabel be done in Tenny ?

I think both survive. Vrabel had a lot of injuries, and Davis won't throw it in so easy on the hapless McDaniels before he goes back to the Pats in 2024. Vrabel honestly has the chops, with a meat and potatoes team living on Tannehill. If he has a better QB or fallback, they'd probably be in the playoffs. You don't want to like the Titans, but they're meant to grind and wear you down, and when healthy, they do.

McDaniels on the other hand, just has no comprehension of the game unless someone obvious tells him what to do, and even then it's situational.

Texans fire Lovie Smith, after one year

The former Bears and Buccaneers (and Illinois) coach got the job under bizarre circumstances last year. A member of the coaching staff under former coach David Culley, Smith wasn’t one of the three finalists for the job, and then he suddenly got the job.
It will be interesting to see how the Texans explain the decision. It’s not as if Smith had a loaded deck of players in 2023.
In his final game, Smith scored a late win over the Colts. The victory cost the Texans the first overall pick in the 2023 draft.
Smith, 64 led the Bears to Super Bowl XLI in 2006. He coached Chicago from 2004 through 2012, and the Bucs in 2014 and 2015.

I just caught a part of GMFB where they say that McVay was going to take a little time away? I missed what's going on there.

I didn't see the McVay thing yet but I would guess he's probably just taking a longer vaca than usual. He already said the media 'offers' were flattering but he's going to coach.

Also, Harbaugh will interview with Denver.

                              Knope. And Keim krept away.

His 2nd half of the season record, going back to his Texas Tech days, is abysmal. The season didn't start great this year, but even before Murray was hurt, they were 1-5 in their last 6 games.
