the way I see it, there are 9 afc squads with legitimate playoff hopes for the 7 spots.

The entire afc east
the bengals, ravens, titans, chargers and chiefs

the bills currently sit 2 games above the cheaters.
a win puts them 3 games up on the pats with 5 to go. Technically not insurmountable but extremely difficult for them to make a play for the division

they have an excellent defense. The o is hit or miss.
If Dorsey can get his head out of his ass and josh plays like we know he can, he should be able to take care of business
but this is a prime time road game against a divisional opponent. And even though josh typically does well in these situations, this is a bit nerve racking

A loss doesn’t kill us, just makes the margin of error razor thin for the division.

The 4 division games are critical, because they are also conference games. All of our division have 2 division wins, and as many conference wins as we have. We're starting out 2 division games behind them all, and they each have 2 more to play.

They need to win all 4 of their division games, imho.

a win today gives us a 3 game lead on a playoff : division rival with 5 to go

although not mathematical, it essentially eliminates New England as a threat to Buffalo
