    Is the defense back?

Their play was the most encouraging thing about tonight for me. 1 bad play. Actually got off the field on 3rd downs. I think we missed Rousseau a lot. I know it was against Mac Jones. Miami will be the big test.

    Re: Is the defense back?

I still loved the big hit in the end zone by Damar Hamlin.

    The ejection was that right?

Tre White how many snaps tonight?

    Anybody know?

Tre seemed to be out there most of the time.

I just wondered did he play the entire game.

I thought he did and I'll admit it I was pleasantly surprised.

Just not sure these old eyes didn't play tricks on me.

I liked what Basham was doing tonight, too.

The young guys stepped up in Von's absence and kept Jones on the run quite a bit.

Having Edmunds back was huge. We are truly a better defense when he is on the field. I think the Bills will try hard to keep him.

Tre played a lot and looked okay. I like how the staff is handling his return.

    Milano needs some rest.

Hamlin is not the smart player Hyde is and it shows every game. He's going to be a liability in the playoffs.

The chatter about Hyde maybe coming back has me hopeful but I highly doubt it happens.

Much better today but I'll reserve judgement until after we play Miami.

We do miss Edmunds when he's not out there. No doubt about it.

    A lotta guys stepped up.

Poyer making plays ..... Hamlin big hits ..... Groot played an excellent game.

They played for each other tonight exactly what we'd hoped for.

Basham was strong great confidence builder for sure.

We still miss Von, but probably not before the playoff.

Seeing Mac Jones dodged several near sacks in the 2nd half is frsutrating. Von has the knack to convert one or two of those opportunities into the sacks. I don't see Tua, Burrows are the Mahomes type that will hurt you big time while scrmabling. But against a guy like Mahomes, getting one sack vs not getting him to the ground could decide a win/loss.

To beat Mahomes you gotta keep him in the pocket .... I consider that more important than a sack.

The sacks will come if you don't allow him to escape the pocket.

It was New England, Mac Jones, no receivers, and a depleted offensive line. I'm not going to get too excited.

The ejection was the correct call by the letter of the rule. I don’t think the hit was dirty by any stretch.

    Rhodes>Dane Jackson.

Dane should not see the field unless there's an injury or a blowout.

It's hard to be mad at that play, because if Hamlin doesn't do it, it's likely a TD. That being said, Hamlin played like a complete idiot yesterday.

They blew the call it was clean.

That hit reminded me of how we used to play the game.

That looks like an argument for a rule change.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

The call was correct by any measure of the spirt of the rule as well. An extremely good and needed one.

The fact is that Hamlin targeted a defenseless WR’s head, with his shoulder. (Thankfully, not with Hamlin's head).

There is no place in the game for that kind of hit. Period.

Hamlin deserved to be ejected. I would expect the same if any opposing player did the same to a Bills WR.

Disagree he lead with the shoulder and hit him clean.

Not a target a solid hit to dislodge the ball ..... no intentional target of a defenseless player in any way.

Challenges should be allowed at the very least with a look from NY.

Some of the take downs Josh took were pretty brutal and IMO that's football.

Deliberate is easy enough to spot.

No argument here. He should have been ejected for the hit. Those shouldn’t be allowed to happen whether intentional or not.

Watch it again. He did not go after the ball. He hit him square in the head. That was NOT a “clean" hit.
