So the question I have is quite simple -- is THE only reason there has not been a complete Sabres fan revolt against the Pegulas is the simple fact they have so far kept a NHL team in the City of Buffalo?

This thread is NOT intended to pile on the Sabres in any way.

I just cannot think of another NHL city that would tolerate this level of ownership incompetence.

I appreciate that if NOT for Gary Bettman's sheer ignorant stubborn will to keep the Sabres in Buffalo after the team went Bankrupt, it would NO longer there.

If NOT for the City of Buffalo's close proximity to the Canadian border and Toronto, a NHL team can NOT survive in Buffalo on only American local support.

Have Sabres fans simply come to the conclusion that the City of Buffalo is NOT a major league city and are just simply grateful to the Pegulas for keeping something there that has no business being there?

I don't know what more you want people to do. The building was practically empty for several years. Fans have started to come back. The current team isn't a contender, but they are competitive and fun to watch, and seem to be on the right path, finally.
