Re: Week 14: Injury/Illness Watch
Here's our first look at Matt Milano this week after missing the first few days of practice with a knee injury.

Sean McDermott said earlier that the #Bills want to see how things go for Milano over the next day or 2 before making decision on whether he'll play Sunday. pic.twitter.com/6NnHsh6COYOriginally posted by notaconThe biggest thing we learned from the Bills is that they are a resilient bunch and did what they had to do to win instead of past years where they fold like a cheap lawn chair.

Might be listed as a full participant, but Allen's elbow is still affecting him.

Re: Week 14: Injury/Illness Watch
As Joe B. reminds us in his weekly “5 thoughts ahead of....” the defense is completely different as compared to the last Jets game “It’s a legitimate shift as the Bills will have four impact and potentially game-changing starters back that they didn’t have in the last matchup. With those changes and the Jets’ new quarterback, this is an entirely different matchup.”
Bills’ defense is vastly different than in Week 9
The edge containment is essential to giving their back-seven defenders enough time to get to the ball carrier. But it’s also important to note who makes up that back seven, which will be vastly different than the last time these teams met. That linebacker, cornerback and safety lineup in Week 9 consisted of Dane Jackson, Christian Benford, Kaiir Elam, Taron Johnson, Tremaine Edmunds, Terrel Bernard, Damar Hamlin and Jaquan Johnson. The only holdovers from that group who will be in the starting lineup in Week 14 are Taron Johnson, Edmunds and Hamlin. Meanwhile, Jackson and Elam have since been benched, Benford is on injured reserve, Bernard was replaced on the depth chart, and the same happened to Jaquan Johnson. Their replacements for Week 14 are an improvement across the board, and that might be an understatement in some cases.
The Bills will have safety Jordan Poyer in the lineup this time, and they could also have linebacker Matt Milano if all goes well with his knee soreness on Saturday. Having that duo is a game-changer for how efficiently the Bills defend the run on all fronts. Their speed and instincts specifically help to defend wide rushes as well, far better than when Jaquan Johnson and Bernard looked lost during the Week 9 Jets loss. Tre’Davious White is also in the lineup for the combination of young cornerbacks and could play his first 100-percent snap game since his injury. That game was also when Greg Rousseau suffered a high ankle sprain at the end of the first half and wasn’t available when the Jets made their run to a victory. It’s a legitimate shift, as the Bills will have four impact and potentially game-changing starters back that they didn’t have in the last matchup. With those changes and the Jets’ new quarterback, this is an entirely different matchup.
