    Question Darryl Gardener

Do you think the Bills should go after Darryl Gardener who was recently cut by the Dolphins?
    Its all about the quest.

Sounds to me his only problems were health and lack of motivation. If he wanted revenge on the Dolphins then he would be motivated and we wouldn't over-work him attempting to maintain his health. Sounds like someone I would go after. I would still like to wait and see if the JEts cut Fergusen.

Before injury, he was pretty solid. Low ball him and give him a 1 year.

Billsman80: are they really reported to be going after him or do you just think they should based on your opinion. Just wondering.

Only if he comes reasonably cheap. I expect he will still be able to sign for more than the vet min if he has 6 teams looking at him, but I wouldn't go more than 1 million a year, and possibly do a 2 year deal with incentives.

Only if we get him for the vet minimum, and even then I have reservations about signing him. I have a lot of Phin fans and they say he's a locker room cancer.....

Didn't we just get rid of all our cancers???

aww.. you never told me that you volunteer at the "Kitchen". How often do you make the drive to Anchorage for that? Surely Palmer/Wasilla hasn't gotten big enough to support one???

Daryl Gardner is a risky pick with a high upside and high downside as well if his back prevents him from being the player he is capable of. Now if they can sign him cheap he is worth the risk. A one year contract would be enough to motivate him to have a good year.

Just to inform you guys of some new rumors floating around.

Gardener might be suffering from a Manic/depressive condition, and he is also going through a very messy divorce. It is also rumored he is on steriods, and has been bullying team mates the last two years. He got into a shoving match with (then) WR O.J. McDuffie last season, and knocked him to the ground.

Dave Wannstedt bent over backwards to accomodate Daryl, and towards the end here, Gardener wouldn't even call him. Dave was telling his agent, that D.G. needed to contact him, and he never did.

You are asking to bring in a headcase, with a possible steriod problem(take a look at the guy, he is 300lbs, and 8% bodyfat), and back problems.

I don't care either way, but I am trying to give you guys the best info I have at the mo.

    Why do I post here?
