And of course, the sabres play the wings, who are 3 points above the Sabs

Washington is 10 points ahead of us and the Islanders are 6 points ahead of us for the WC….. but Washington has played 6 more games and NYI have played 5 more games.

Amazing we are still talking about this after that 10 game losing streak, but it’s also frustrating to think how much better it would be if they had won just 2 of those games.

I would be overjoyed if the Sabres beat out the Caps for the last wild card spot by just a couple of points.

If we do get in, it’ll be as the 8th seed and we’ll get pummeled by NYR or Carolina, but after so many years with no playoffs, I’ll take it.

It was an 8 game losing streak but yeah. Just a couple of wins would have really made a difference.
