People are just in denial about the situation with McDermott. Just because you want it to be true doesn't mean it is.

                Frazier isn't the problem.

                McBeane is the problem.

The drafting on the defensive side of the ball has been awful and it's their focus year after year.

Elam, I like the kid and think he can be better than White. Problem is he's a man corner and we run a zone scheme because every other corner on this roster is a zone corner. Excited about the pick at the time but now I'm wondering why we bothered.

Basham and Rousseau. Both below average guys. Reached for them because we had no pass rush and without Miller, we still have no pass rush. Throw in Epenesa as well.

Ed Oliver. Average player. Disappears at times. Plays really well at times. Doesn't hold the line of attack on defense which contributes to Tremaine Edmunds being able to find someone to block him.

Speaking of Tremaine! Zero instincts. Low football IQ. Physical freak.

At some point you can't just blame the guy forced to coach these guys and blame the front office for wasting picks on guys who simply aren't good enough.

Well.... Vic Fangio to the Dolphins as DC. There goes that dream.

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with DC Vic Fangio on a deal that makes him the NFL’s highest-paid coordinator, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reports.

I read Harbaugh outside shot, and a bunch of young assistants, no mention of Frazier.

Frazier has no bag of tricks. Burrow struggled against man, so they played zone where he thrived. Burrow thrives against a 4 man rush so even when they blitzed, they dropped a lineman into coverage and only rushed 4. Tackling is an issue, that's defensive fundamentals, been years. They line up softer than the 1st down marker on 3rd downs and long yardage.

That's all McFrazier, joined at the hip.

I agree with the rest of your post. Frazier is absolutely part of the problem. I don't know that ditching him would help since he's here to implement McDermotts love of conservative defense. That's why he's part of the problem.

The Chiefs played two high a lot and won, lots of Quarters coverage, lots of two deep shells. If Frazier was watching he was probably thinking he's vindicated. LOL

The difference is they have Chris Jones, The Greek, Frank Clark, and they actually got pressure.
