Who is the Eagles coach again? Where'd he come from?

This just isn't a championship caliber defense, it's always been over-rated, as well as some of the personnel. Edmunds was directly responsible for three big plays in the first quarter when the Bengals were building their 14 point lead, by getting sucked up into middle and abandoning the receiver crossing deeper. One TD and two third down conversions. Milano made a horrible read (again) against a TE on the second TD (again). For as good as he can look against the run, he still is not good in coverage in the playoffs.

Good teams with good quarterbacks simply don't break like Frasier and McD wish they would, they just methodically carve us up. In all honesty it's kind of too bad we didn't lose last week because we could have brought back Jim Schwartz to the run the defense again (which actually was dominant, not a mirage) but he's spoken for now.

As far as the offense I don't think Dorsey is one and done, nor should he be. The biggest fail on offense has been Josh Allen. As much as I hate to say it he regressed this year...a lot. He never made that step up to be the confident, surgical killer that he should have and actually looked more like JP Losman at times, chucking it up and praying on third downs. That's on him, he needs to get back to work and take this more seriously.

There are two elite teams in the AFC, and Buffalo isn't one of them. There are two championship-caliber quarterbacks in the AFC, and Josh isn't one of them either.
It's not a championship capable anything in the 6th year of a program while the Bengals are in their 4th and just humiliated us in our house. You can't clap this team to victory, you need nuts and bolts coaching we don't have. You need coaches that can adapt, and have some bag of tricks, and we don't. They can't effectively use who they have, even when they have issues, because they don't have a clue how to evolve from their simple basics they figure they can motivate properly, like vets need more motivating.

They've been dumbed down and numbed, because don't worry about it, yay, next week. The message is old and stale, there's no nuts and bolts because there's no capability.

And next year, they'll do it again, because all they need is another offseason, with diminishing returns.

We already peaked, and now it's just lip service and desperation, imho.

McDermott supports Frazier's cover zero BS. Both have to go. Dorsey too.

And with Beane, how hard is he going to hold onto his draftees that aren't that great. It will be interesting to see what is done with Oliver and Edmunds. I don't expect anything drastic will change.

If the read is single deep man on the outside, there is always going to be a 'go' check for Davis or Diggs. If there are four routes in the pattern, and three guys are open but Josh still throws deep to a covered Davis that's not on Dorsey, that's on Josh.

Re: So who does Mcdermott throw under the bus?

I think maybe not having the 3 D-linemen we signed in the offseason to get us over the hump might have hurt.

And not doing enough to solidify the O-line. Brown turned out to be a dud after a fairly promising rookie year. Instead of building on what he did well last year, he ditched that and amplified his weaknesses. Kromer has to take some blame.

Dorsey wasn't ready to lead a Super Bowl caliber offense. He won't be next year, either, but I think we're stuck with him.

Who's next? The quality control coordinator? Probably deserves it!

Do they still have the midget trainer? He always came up short of expectations.

Not sure that is true any more. You know Ralph Wilson's ownership was a turnoff for many years -- it was his mentality that denied strong leadership where it was needed in favor of 'yes men' robots he could lead around like puppets. And he didn't want to pay anyone ... he rode Wade Phillips out of town without a final paycheck after dictating to him who he was and wasn't going to play.

People aren't going to sign-up for that **** I would consider it a significant contributor to the drought.

Pegula stepped up and got Ryan but was duped because he was a new owner.

This situation we have know is unprecedented. If for no other reason moving McDermott is good for the teams mental health. Move away from this season as quick as possible. McDermott is doing a lot of lip-speak about utopian ideals and things but then doesn't do **** and doesn't deliver. If McDermott seriously understood a lot of stuff he talks about he would understand this organization needs change and step aside gracefully so they can have it because he is not orchestrating any change he's trying to maintain the mediocre status quo.

But I agree with you about one thing -- the ability to move away from McDermott is dependent on who we can get to replace him.
