So who does Mcdermott throw under the bus?

Someone has to be the sacrificial lamb for this bull ****. It should be Fraizer. I don't have any faith that it will. Maybe the OL coach?

McD is done. Can't lead a group of men to sacrifice their good health in a violent sport ever again.

He never had the eye of the tiger and certainly wont now.

I’ve been calling this since he kicked the fg at the end of the half of the Bills-Chiefs AFCCG. He’s a *****, and you can’t win with stupid, emasculated coaches

Re: So who does Mcdermott throw under the bus?

McDermott never throws anyone under the bus, you should know that. That being said it's time for a change in philosophy. Defenses have been neutered by NFL rules. We can't live in a defensive world anymore. Also the best player on the team is Josh Allen. Hes the future and he's what we need to build around. 7 defensive picks in the first two rounds for the past 5 years and we've never won a SB with an elite defense. No one wins SBs with elite defense. It's always an elite offense with a competent defense. Change the philosophy and you will change the trajectory of this team. Now whether or not McDermott will do that is unknown. If he's unwilling to go this route then he must go. If he's willing to change with the times then he can stay. Offense offense offense.

Re: So who does Mcdermott throw under the bus?

He's not going to throw anyone under the bus. He'll wait for Beane to give him more talent to fuel the stale, figured out schemes, then expect he can clap them to a new level.

If McD isn't willing to make changes to the way the D is run, maybe it's time we consider changes to him.

Every analyst on TV was BEGGING them to stop playing nickel zone. Nope.

FA or draft a WR stud. Obviously needed.

    McKenzie… camp cut
LB playing in a 4-2-5 aren’t able to stop run. (only one plays that. The other is an off ball LB and will command 15/year

    Davis good bye.

    Beez… thanks for playing

anyone on a rookie deal.., breath a sigh of relief now.

    every position is open minis QB1 WR1 K D Jones T white.

    Milano and pay Poyer.

Re: So who does Mcdermott throw under the bus?

Beane needs to find the balls that Howie Roseman had in Philadelphia when he got rid of Doug Pederson. He needs to replace McDermott. The others you're complaining about will fall with him. Let Oliver and Edmunds walk as free agents. Start by redoing the interior of each line. Mitch Morse has, at least, 6 concussions. The guards are not good. Neither are either of the tackles. Dawson was exposed badly today. Allen, Diggs, Knox and Cook can stay. Maybe Davis. The rookies can stay. Defensively, Settle didn't do what he was brought here to do. Oliver and Edmunds suck. Actually bringing back Phillips and Lawson turned out to be ok. Daquon Jones stays. They have to assess the health of their secondary. Bass stays, of course. A lot to do. But, I think it's time to change defensive philosophies and Josh has enough NFL experience that he can handle them bringing in an outside OC.

    You're forgetting one thing:

    This isn't Philadelphia, it's Buffalo.

NOBODY WANTS TO COME HERE,, EXCEPT FIRST TIMERS AND PROVEN LOSER RETREADS.

Allen is a draw, but even he hasn't looked very good down the stretch.

    I dunno.

Re: So who does Mcdermott throw under the bus?

Frasier needs to go, this should be the last year of "look how good our regular season stats are and watch us **** the bed in the playoffs again".

This just isn't a championship caliber defense, it's always been over-rated, as well as some of the personnel. Edmunds was directly responsible for three big plays in the first quarter when the Bengals were building their 14 point lead, by getting sucked up into middle and abandoning the receiver crossing deeper. One TD and two third down conversions. Milano made a horrible read (again) against a TE on the second TD (again). For as good as he can look against the run, he still is not good in coverage in the playoffs.

Good teams with good quarterbacks simply don't break like Frasier and McD wish they would, they just methodically carve us up. In all honesty it's kind of too bad we didn't lose last week because we could have brought back Jim Schwartz to the run the defense again (which actually was dominant, not a mirage) but he's spoken for now.

As far as the offense I don't think Dorsey is one and done, nor should he be. The biggest fail on offense has been Josh Allen. As much as I hate to say it he regressed this year...a lot. He never made that step up to be the confident, surgical killer that he should have and actually looked more like JP Losman at times, chucking it up and praying on third downs. That's on him, he needs to get back to work and take this more seriously.

There are two elite teams in the AFC, and Buffalo isn't one of them. There are two championship-caliber quarterbacks in the AFC, and Josh isn't one of them either.

    Disagree.

It isn't Allen calling for the bomb on 3rd and 8.

I agree with the first part of that sentence. The part about Josh is ridiculous.
