    Tom Brady officially retires

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-for-good/amp/

Let’s share our Tom Brady horror stories. 20 years of pain and yet I became a fan of his when he moved to Tampa Bay. Only respect and the greatest to ever do it. Just sucks he was in our division.
My faith doesn’t make me perfect, it makes me forgiven.

I've blocked all the horror stories out. I to kind of grudgingly admired him in Tampa. To play at that level in you mid 40's is freakish.

I also appreciate he shoved it in BBs face winning a SB without him. Bill gets way to much credit. Never won anything as a HC before Brady. Won't do without Brady.

I think he came back last year because he knew his marriage was over and he wanted to protect the Fox money.

So this is perfect timing and not 1 year too late.

Tom Brady has left the building.

First, this happened last year and it turned out to be a false alarm, so I'll believe it when week 1 comes around and he's not on a roster.

Second, **** him. He's an arrogant cheater. I will never respect him as the GOAT because he got caught cheating multiple times, which likely means he cheated in other ways for which he was never caught.

I'll give him credit for two things. First, he won without BB. I always thought the combo was more BB than him, but I was wrong. BB hasn't been able to win without him. Second, longevity. He definitely declined this past year, but to play at that level at his age is a very rare thing. Other than that, football will be more enjoyable without him.

    When will BB retire?

    Looking forward to that one.

Or should I enjoy beating the **** out of him a bit longer?

It will be a great day when the NFL playoffs start and neither Brady nor BB are involved. But BB has a huge ego and wants to prove he can win without Brady. He's going to hang around until he's physically incapable of doing it.

    That's this week.

He's finally beginning to understand what the rest of us already knew....that Todd Bowels is a ****ty coach.

He'll play somewhere, for someone who is desperate.

    ^This!
I am a Red Sox and when I think of Goat I think Derrick Jeter! Played the game the way it was supposed to be played, was always prepared, never talked bad about other players or teams, was always professional and most importantly played when in the rules.
The biggest difference between Jeter and Brady is Jeter was a class act on and off the field, you never heard a bad thing about him. Then again this might be the difference between the two sports.

I don't know. There are plenty of guys that played against us that I respect. Marino and Kelly always respected each other and I have respect for Marino.

And. there are other guys who are POS human beings whose talent I can still respect. I mean, OJ had 2000 rushing yards in a 14 game season. The big difference is those guys are POS's off the field. Brady cheated. That affects the integrity of the game. It affects the outcome.

During the Spygate years, there were several seasons where we played the Patriots close in the first game and they kicked our asses in the 2nd game. Now, they were a much better team than us in those years, so a beatdown was a very likely outcome. But, if they stole our signals in the first game, it would certainly explain why the first game would be competitive and the second one would be an ass-kicking. Of course, this is just a theory and there is no way to ever prove it. But cheating on the field.... I just can't respect that.

I agree but Marino and Kelly were anything but saintly off the field.

So we go from watching him 2+ times a year to maybe listening to him 18+ times a year.

He'll be on Fox, so we will only HAVE to listen to him a couple of times a year, hopefully.

My favorite play of his was his last throw as a Patriot, a pick 6 against the Titans in the playoffs.

    Good riddance.

I honestly think you'll be very hard pressed to find a player in ANY sport, or at least one that's popular and at the top of their games, to be 'clean' off the field. A lot of reports of Jeter cheating as well.
