Looks to me like this is the guy McDermott wants to replace Frazier if/when he's gone for whatever reason. God forbid McDermott consider some new thinking might be in order. This is exactly why I started the fire him thread.
OMG!!

McDermott's comfort zone is pretty much writing on the wall.
What he's learned is that he needed a new safety coach and his bud Al Holcomb on board to take us to the next level, nothing else. He'll sleep like a baby all offseason, sure we're all fixed, and that he's grown as an HC.
Well if that's all we need so be it.
Expect a new HC sooner rather than later if this fails miserably.
Well, they are at least acknowledging the defense is an issue. Or, McD is just doing a solid giving an old buddy a paycheck.

This is what I thought of when I heard about this move!!

I dunno. I'm kind of hoping this is an under-the-radar beginning of at least some change, we haven't heard anything about Frazier getting a new contract and I don't think McD would do the undignified act of firing such a close friend a month before the current contract expires. Extremely rose-colored glasses I know, but it's something to hold on to for a few weeks at least.

I don't mind wearing a pair of Rose colored glasses for a few weeks.
No his contract isn’t expiring. It would be all over.
Seems like a pretty smart move.
I'm operating under the assumption that Frazier will be back, but the hiring of Holcomb shortens his leash a bit. I think McDermott's defensive instincts are more aggressive than Frazier's. Frazier is a Tampa 2 guy-lots of zone coverage, but depends on the front four to get pressure. Jim Johnson, Josh McDermott's mentor in Philadelphia was not blitz crazy like some defensive coordinators, but he did do some very creative blitzing. That's McDermott's DNA. I think maybe Holcomb's presence means McDermott wants to bring more off that to Buffalo.

I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
Refuted. Per John Wawrow. No expiring contract.

Wawrow may have been drunk or on heroin, or had incorrect sources, early dementia, flat out lied for the fun of it, been paid off by Frazier, or something. I'm still hoping. Maybe it hasn't expired "yet" which could be factually correct but it might expire tomorrow, or Saturday.....next Tuesday.
Damn it.
Jesus. Leslie Frazier s not going anywhere (unless he gets a HC job), nor should he. That would be pro football malpractice and really dumb.
If the Pegula’s listened to some of the crap suggestions we see written here by “fans”, the Bills would be the worst run franchise in the NFL.
