    https://www.buffalorumblings.com/202...sean-mcdermott

The Buffalo Bills find themselves in the market for a new wide receivers’ coach effective immediately.

Chad Hall, who has been with the Bills for the past six seasons and is widely regarded as a favorite among the team’s pass-catchers, is joining the Jacksonville Jaguars’ coaching staff in the same role, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Re: Bills losing receivers coach Chad Hall to Jacksonville

Hall joined the Bills in 2017 as an offensive assistant, and was promoted to wide receivers coach prior to the 2019 season. Now Hall, whose contract with Buffalo had expired, is headed back to Jacksonville in a lateral move that will have him serve as wide receivers coach for the likes of Christian Kirk and Zay Jones.

After playing his collegiate ball for Air Force, Hall had a brief NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and the Kansas City Chiefs. The 2008 undrafted free agent started his career on the Eagles’ practice squad in 2010, but was promoted to the active roster in October of that season. Hall had his best game in the Eagles’ finale of the same year, recording six receptions, 84 yards, and a touchdown. However, the next season he found himself back on the practice squad.

He was a favorite because he let them run sloppy routes and didn’t make them do extra work on the Juggs machine. Thank goodness Von Miller can motivate them to use it.

If they don’t resign Beasley, I say bring him back as the WR coach! By all accounts he knows and understands defenses and coverages and he knows this offense!

That’s of course he wants to get into coaching.

The job he did with Davis alone should have gotten him canned.

    Hey...if we're looking for scapegoats...

Yeah, the Juggs machine thing kind of vexed me. I mean what's up with a staff that won't make players use it, or for that matter, instruct defensive ones how to properly tackle ?

I get the idea the Bills are coddlers, dependent upon the individual players to step up without directing them how to.

    Right!

I’m okay with letting them step up but when the player getting paid to catch the ball and isn’t at least point them in the right direction.

I didn't like his teaching method of forming a fist when catching the ball.

    Diggs was just spiting him.

So the strength of the defense for a couple of seasons has been the safeties, and the strength of the offense the passing game with receivers like Diggs and Beasley posting career numbers and decent development from some late rounders (Davis, Hodgins, and Shakir) and those are the coaches shown the door.

    Mmmmkay.

Odd to see a guy leave for a lateral move, but best of luck to him.

Can't say I agree with the safeties coach fire, the wr coach, well, they really underperformed.

If the WR were running sloppy routes like Ingtar says then this is not big loss.

Would it qualify as addition by subtraction?
