Who cares anymore.
And why is this irrelevant (as in Bills related) thread allowed in the Bills forum when it has nothing to do with the Bills?
imbondz (02-02-2023)
No it’s not. The 33-3 stats is irrelevant as soon as he left the AFCE.
What is MUCH more relevant, TODAY, is the Sean Payton is now HC of Denver. It affects us WAY more than Brady retiring. Especially when that hire may finally provide some competition for KC in their dominance of the AFCW and using that dominance to strengthen their playoff seeds....#1 or #2 four years in a row.
It is no coincidence that having those seeds is why they have hosted the AFC five years in a row, and now are going to their third SB.
One or two less wins in their division changes the whole outlook. I detailed the facts in a thread about that subject that was arbitrarily buried in the “Professional Football Zone” forum that hardly anyone pays attention to....
They have secured the #1 seed two of the past four years, and the two years they did not get #1, they were #2. Worst they have done is in 2017 with #4 seed (still giving them at least one home playoff game).
Their division record these past five years???.....
2022 - 6-0
2021 - 5-1
2020 - 4-2
2019 - 6-0
2018 - 5-1
2017 - 5-1
Denver has lost to KC FIFTEEN GAMES IN A ROW!!!!
Last time Denver beat KC was week #2 2015.
How about if Denver stops being a patsy for KC!!!
The days of Tom Brady dominating the Bills lost all its relevance when he want to the NFC. Dwelling on the past means nothing for TODAY and the future!!!
Brady retiring has almost zero relevance to the Bills of 2023 and going forward. Sean Peyton, and if he revives Russel Wilson has an exponentially massive relevance on the Bills for years to come.

Tom Brady will be a 49er next year.
Book it.

I would not bet one penny on that happening. And saying “book it” means betting on it. Are you willing to put actual money on that??? A substantial amount???? I doubt it. You are smarter than that.
That’s the whole point on why the Sean Payton hire is so relevant to the Bills. Much, much more than both Reich being hired as HC and Brady retiring.
You may be correct, which, again, is a HUGE relevance to the Bills. Payton failing to bring Russel back is a massive negative to the Bills.
I’m hoping that he DOES succeed, (to the extent that Denver can beat KC for once.....as well as Las Vegas bringing in a viable QB to challenge KC too) to challenge KC so they don’t have a cakewalk to the #1 or #2 seed over and over and over again.
In 2022 if Denver wins just one game vs KC, the Bills would have the #1 seed (even with the missed Cincy game) and the one week bye and divisional round game vs Jax, with KC and Cincy beating each other up in the div. found, and would almost assuredly mean a AFCC game in Buffalo. And those events probably (although we'lll never know) would mean a huge swing in the mental and emotional state of the team.
If any team needed a bye for the playoffs it was Buffalo.
In 2021, if Denver wins just one game vs KC, the Bills would have had the #2 seed and KC #3. Which means the divisional game would have been played in Buffalo instead of KC. HUGE difference.
So, you may be correct about Wilson, but as a Bills fan that is NOT what we want.
