A very emotional, tough to read at times, story about what actually happened to Kim, and why the family was so quiet until now.

I'm glad she's alive. It does make you wonder though.

I’m glad she’s alive & has family to help her, good luck to her in her recovery. The Bills & Sabres (so far) record wise got so much better this past season for a reason, hopefully the family can pass the torch to the new generation sooner & they can stay hands off. The past 10 years of hockey has been difficult to watch, this season has been a savior for me mentally.
Choked up and crying I little.
Amazing God Bless Kim.

I can understand why they haven't said much until now. Kind of a bittersweet situation. Good luck to Kim.

Prayers to Kim & family. Whether the team knew the details or not, they new that their boss, someone they have a personal relationship with, was battling for her life. Jessica makes the connection in the letter, but it puts a new perspective on how Damar's situation affected them all as an organization when they were already going through this. Kim seems like a fighter and I hope we can see her close to her old self again someday.

You can always count on some crass self serving agenda folks to show up in these threads.Nice world.
All the best to her.

It's good to hear an update. I'm glad they still have their mom and wife. Continued prayers.

I don't recall a single one of the zones expert doctors predicting cardiac arrest. Can't believe they misdiagnosed this one.

When I read this last night, the second thought that came to me (after the sadness of the reality of her condition for a women so relatively young and vibrant) was this puts a whole different light on the Damar Hamlin tragedy and how it affected the team.
The similarity of the two suffering cardiac arrest probably had a cumulative effect on the whole organization, out sizing the detrimental mental and emotional burden when it happed to the second member of the Bills family.
Literarily both dying and being brought back to life.
It’s no wonder that the Bills were just wiped out and drained of any vitality by the time the Cincy game came along.

They we so flat against Cincy, players, no coaching adjustments. I think they lost that hardcore mean killer edge it takes to win in this league. They really never recovered emotionally, in fact I'm concerned moving forward about Josh because of this as well. And Damar should never play another NFL game. Too much of a distraction.

I think it's sad, and tragic, for Mrs. Pegula and for the family, and I send them my thoughts and prayers. She's what, 53 ? I'd feel the same about anyone.
I see it as a concern from a perspective of humanity, for the person, and her family. The Bills are not a person fighting to recover for quality of life.
Hopefully she continues to make progress and can get back as close to full health as possible. I really appreciate the family giving the fans an update, and how they have handled this the last 7 months.
