Rams still owe him $5M. We could back load a contract and make it doable this season.
Right?
It would make sense to sign him if the can do it for no more than what they paid Edmunds last season. It would have to be a short term deal though. I don't want to risk having an older player hitting the wall while locked into a long term deal with lots of guaranteed money.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
Get on this Mr. Beane.
He's a real MLB so he doesn't fit their brilliant scheme.

Here was his contract:
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/los-ange...y-wagner-9857/
Sign him for 2 years between $18-22 million.
Here was his stats from 2022.
Wagner played and started all 17 games last season, recording 140 tackles, two interceptions and a career-high six sacks.
Edmunds 102 tackles, 1 interception, and 2 sacks. BTW he only has 5 int’s and 6 1/2 sacks in 5 years!

I would love to hear we are bringing him to Buffalo.

A lot of the edmunds defenders ive heard say that our defense intentionally has edmunds stay inside zone to protect passing lanes and we use our CBs as OLBs essentially
But honestly, that almost feels more as a way to hide edmunds more than help our team. Wouldnt it be more beneficial to have a MLB that can do both and allow our DBs to just focus on covering and not force our SS to come down in the box?
I feel like we know edmunds is really bad at play recognition and try to limit his responsibilities by just having him play glorified safety
Not here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions

I think the issue is that the new league year doesn't start until 3/15 and if the Bills try and sign Wagner it would have to be under both the 2022 and 2023 cap. The Bills had less than $2 million cap space for 2022 when I last looked and are negative for 2023. That won't be a huge issue down the road as they'll surely renegotiate a few deals to create room, but unless they've already begun re-negotiations I don't know how they could realistically sign Wagner at this point.
I'd love to have him, but Beane would have to get incredibly creative and Wagner would really want to come here to make it work. Maybe Von Miller has some pull?
COMING SOON...

Seems like a pipe dream and little else.
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit
I just read the Bengals are interested.

Yeah....there are a LOT of Edmunds supporters....
GM Beane
HC McDermottt
DC Frazier
And 50 other various NFL GM’s, coaches, scouts and players in 2020….2021 AND 2022. Plus, virtually every credible sports media writer.
The main place you see Edmunds haters is among a portion of so-called Bills “fans”. The ones that think they know more about football than they actually do. They know a lot less than they think they do.
You blockheads just don’t get it....the HATERS are the ones that are far and few between.
For the record....If Beane and the Bills coaches believe the team will be better served by signing Bobby Wagner, I of course, will defer to their expertise as what they believe is best for the team.
I also believe that, considering the reality of the cap (which they will be able to make room by the usual tactics) and the other glaring needs....the REAL needs, not the ones conjured up in the heads of the haters, there is little chance (if any) that the Bills will give signing Wagner a second thought.
The positions in FA they WILL take a long hard look at will be....
-O-Line, both a RT to challenge Spencer Brown for the starting job (and for T depth) and a LG to replace Rodger Saffold plus some much needed depth there and at C.
-WR (in addition to drafting one in the first 2 rounds) that can challenge (and possibly take over) the starting #2 WR spot, or at the least spilt time with the underperforming Gabe Davis. This is the BIGGEST area of need (at least if one cares about the Bills challenging for the AFC title and the NFL title in 2023 and beyond)
-Safety, it’s irrelevant if Poyer is re-signed or not, Hyde is in his last year of his contract, and two aging S's is not a very good spot to be in the pass happy AFC. Experienced depth is also needed this position.
-RB, with Singletary almost assuredly not returning, and Hines presenting a cap issue, that leaves the Bills with possibly only ONE RB on the roster (as it is, the Bills have only two under contract). Even Taiwan Jones, who is really a special teams player, in a UFA.
Seems to me that some so-called “fans” are more interesting in ****ting on one of the most important and best performing players on defense instead of being realistic on what is best for the team going forward.
