We were in the power play and they have the best Pk team in the nhl, we also had just scored. 30 seconds later they scored an empty net goal
They cleared the zone into an empty net in seconds. It put us in a really stupid situation
The theory is you shouldn't be giving up the puck on the PP. Seeing how you just scored and it took you 55 mins to do it, what makes you so confident you would have scored again? It went south quickly I get that but the problem is execution not the plan itself.
The point is we gave them an insanely easy opportunity to shut down any opportunity to win the game. Whos to say we couldnt score on that PP and been down just 2 in the 4 minute mark in the 3rd
No one has come back from down 3 goals against that team. They are the fastest to 100 points in league history for a reason.
Down 2 of our 3 best players, I'm trying to get more sticks out there to see if I can knock one in off a lucky bounce, too.
They were losing either way. I don't see it as something to get upset about.
So far so good end of the 2nd Sabres leading the Lightning 4-1.
