    Hamister Makes Bid To Buy Sabres

    Buffalo businessman Mark Hamister submitted an offer to buy the financially troubled Buffalo Sabres after meeting NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on Thursday.


    "An offer was made and we are evaluating it internally,'' NHL spokeswoman Bernadette Mansur said.

    Local billionaire and gubernatorial candidate Tom Golisano is talking with the National Hockey League about buying the Buffalo Sabres. No dollar amount has been disclosed.
