It's getting to that point where if this season is going to matter, they have to get going. It can't be one step forward, two back, because you're going to wake up 14 points out in late January and suddenly, you're talking lottery odds

Going into today, they have 17 points. They're 6th in the Atlantic, but only 2 points behind Detroit. They're only 3 points behind Tampa Bay for WC2(Carolina only has 20 points as well, but they're currently WC1 due to their record; the Bolts have 4 "loser points" while the Canes have none).

Yeah they’ve already put themselves in a place where they need a 7 or 8 game win streak to make up some ground and that’s really hard to do in this league.
