All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Watching that OT play unfold was was maddening. I saw it coming. The players were just too gassed to cover it.
Just way too much dead weight on this team. The offense isn't what it was last year, and it's showing.
At one point in OT, they had an opportunity to change and went for one last offensive rush instead. That’s what doomed them.
It doesn’t make sense that the O is so much worse than last year. We didn’t lose anyone significant, we added Greenway and we have a lot of young guys who are gaining experience.

Maybe it'll take a little bit longer for them.
“It breaks your heart when someone leaves and you don’t know why.”
"It may be raining but there's a rainbow above you" Former President Donald Trump early Thursday touted the results of a new NPR/PBSNewsHour/Marist pollshowing him ahead of President Joe Biden by 8 percentage points among independents.

Could be teams learned a system that handicaps the sabres speed and skill. Could be natural regression. Last year, a bunch of guys had career years. Maybe they are regressing to the mean. Maybe Quinns injury is hurting him more than we thought.
I'm not sure why you would say that. Quinn was really really good last year and the injury is the main reason why olofsson is still here.
First off, Oloffson scored 28 goals/40 points last season. Oloffson is around because of that.
Secondly Quinn was a nice player, stop making him out to be Connor McDavid. The issues with the Sabres team currently have ZERO to due with Quinn's absence. So just stop that nonsense.
It has far more to do with the Sabres unfathomable decision to keep Okposo instead of pushing him into retirement and giving captain to Thompson. Stupid.
Only Thompson, Tuch, Skinner and Cozens had more goals than Oloffson last season. While I will be the first to acknowledge his limitations, there is a strong argument to keep him and pair him with the right linemates. Greenway nor Girgensons are that.
Okposo should be the first one to go. He does ZERO for this team.

Olofsson is a one trick pony. Quinn is not. He's actually good defensively
It’s early but at this point, I’m thinking no. The team has already dug themselves into a place where they will need at least one big winning streak to make it, like maybe 8-2 over 10 games. I’ve seen nothing from them to make me think they are capable of doing that.
They are 3 points out of tied for 2nd place in the conference.

No one was ever comparing the two as head to head players. Is it that hard for short goaltenders to follow along? The point is that you are trying to make Quinn out as the reason the Sabres aren't scoring goals. You clearly said just that. And that is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Shows you don't know much about hockey or the Sabres.
And, furthermore, if we were comparing Quinn and Oloffson, the latter scored more. So there is that. One trick or not. You never sneeze off a 28 goal scorer. No one is more one trick than Jeff Skinner. Fact.
