All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I genuinely had to ask the question last night: is there a young, core identified player the sabres should move? Is any one player "the problem?"A shake up by trading someone like Cozens or Mittlestadt might make players go "oh"And firing Granato
Cozens. Some team believe they can get him back on track and will love that long term reasonable contract. If they can get the right return I'd move him.
But I don’t know if it will matter. All of the scorers had opportunities yesterday. They just couldn’t finish. I kinda feel like that’s how it’s been all season. On paper they should be decent but on the ice, they just aren’t good enough.
On paper, they should be competing for a top three spot in the division. Especially with UPLs game taking another step.
I mean. Something has to give. And I think a major trade is one path.
I'm not going to celebrate beating a team that wins 25% of the time. They have to win the next two to make the homestand not a total waste.
I only saw the last period and it was dominant. They did what they’re supposed to do when they play a bad team on a cross country road trip: win easily. But I agree. This was always an easy win. It doesn’t mean they’re back on the right path. The next two games are against bad teams too and they need all 4 points.

"It may be raining but there's a rainbow above you" Former President Donald Trump early Thursday touted the results of a new NPR/PBSNewsHour/Marist pollshowing him ahead of President Joe Biden by 8 percentage points among independents.
Buffalo Sabres goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was making his third-straight start and made 28 saves for his second-career shutout. Luukkonen has given up one goal in his last two games, and five goals in his last four starts. Paul Hamilton has more:
Apparently Jeff marek talked about Levi yesterday and said basically "there's no other GM who would leave Levi in the NHL and they are ruining this kid."

What I've been saying for a while now.
At this point I don’t get it. Before the season started, the team was supposed to be decent and make the playoffs. All Levi had to do is be slightly better than UPL and as last year and we’re good.
But that’s not what happened. The team has consistently underperformed. With or without Levi, they aren’t winning.
So what’s the point of keeping him up? Send him to Roch and let him play every game. It’s just perplexing at this point.

I'm not sure if Adams is too stubborn or if they really are just that worried about Comrie at this point.
If it's because of Comrie, go out and get Elvis Merzlikens. He's got a bad contract, but have CBS eat half, or get an asset to go with him.
I'd rather take on a bad contract than ruin our best goalie prospect
Not exactly Sabres related, but it should be noted: The vast majority of NHL games are on RSN's owned by Diamond Sports(which are branded on air as Bally Sports). Well, Amazon is buying a minority stake in Diamond Sports, which will get the games on Prime Video(including pre & postgame shows). This doesn't get rid of the blackouts in regional markets; it's considered more of a supplemental experience though the games will be on Amazon's servers(via Prime Video)and NOT through the Bally Sports app.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.
