All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

"It may be raining but there's a rainbow above you" Former President Donald Trump early Thursday touted the results of a new NPR/PBSNewsHour/Marist pollshowing him ahead of President Joe Biden by 8 percentage points among independents.
Jack Quinn to miss 8 weeks. Who will replace him? Jost, Olofsson, Rosin, Rusek, Kulich? Injury is in Quinn's same leg as the achilles injury. This one not the achilles or the knee, but he did have surgery yesterday. Stress fracture in his fibula is just a guess.
The Sabres are better when Thompson scores goals on a regular basis whether Quinn plays or doesn’t. Fix Tage please.
The bills are better when Bass hits field goals.
That's the most arbitrary post ever. Of course the sabres are better when their best player is playing to his potential. It doesn't negate Quinns positive impact on the game when he's healthy
Nope. His post is spot on. Thompson has been a shadow of himself. He took his contract money, went out and started a little family, which has made him half the hockey player he was before the contract. sukie hit the nail on the head. Thompson is not scoring goals, not offering the leadership he was paid for. He's stealing Pegula's money. Has nothing to do with Quinn. Quinn is a nice player, but was NOT making the impact that you claim he was. He was tagging along with Peterka and Cousins. Period.

They're two different things completely.
Of course the Sabres are better when Thompson is Thompson.
It doesn't change the fact that Quinn on his own impacts the team better as well. And the proof is in the results
New maintenance day pod is out. They expect the Sabres to call up Jost or Biro (outside chance of Rousek) once the Sabres break is over because of their versatility. They dont expect the youngest team in the league to get younger especially since the Sabres feel they're still in it. They note Cozens is getting his game back, and they feel Tage is also gaining confidence.
The sabres are 6th in the league in 5 on 5 scoring.
They also think the Sabres may shut down Quinn if they're out of it when he returns so he can get a full summer in. His shortened season showed just how good he is, however.

No they don't. Maybe two weeks ago. But even after the west coast (2 of 3), the sad home run that preceeded it dropped them out. They know there is no enough time now. These veterans aren't working. They need to moven on from all the players listed here, except Mittelstadt, who might be the best player on their roster.
Buffalo has six unrestricted free agents that could be on the move before the March 8th trade deadline
With the Buffalo Sabres falling out of the playoff race, GM Kevyn Adams could listen to offers on their six pending UFAs.
Casey Mittelstadt has been in the rumor mill, but that could wait for the offseason.
Pending RFA forward Casey Mittelstadt has been in the rumor mill, but that could wait for the offseason. Victor Olofsson – His value is down with only four goals and the Sabres would have retain a portion of his $4.75 million salary. Kyle Okposo – A $2.5 million cap his and would only get traded if he wants to. A mid-round pick as the return at best. Zemgus Girgensons – A $2.5 million cap hit and salary retention would needed. A mid-round pick as the return at best. Eric Robinson – A $1.6 million cap his and might generate some interest from a team looking for bottom-six depth. A mid-round pick as the return at best. Eric Comrie – A $1.8 million cap hit. If the Sabres want to keep Devon Levi in the AHL for the rest of the season, they’d likely keep Comrie as a backup. Erik Johnson – A $3.5 million cap hit. They’d have to retain but could maybe get a third-round pick from someone looking for a right-handed defenseman with leadership, size and character.

1. The odd thing is that last season, when Samuelsson was out of the lineup the Sabres struggled. THIS season, they're doing better without him in the lineup.
2. GMKA had better start working the phones to get a defenseman in a trade. I have noticed that Columbus has a glut of D-men while they need help on offense. If I'm Adams, I make that trade YESTERDAY.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.
