Why?
I came.
I saw.
I conquered.
I feel like they don’t take RB seriously at all.

I think with the picks and UDFA's that puts us at 87.
Latavius Murray was decent....8 years ago.
Unless we're carrying 5 running backs don't see how he makes the team.
Like none of our offseason moves have made any sense.

I wanted him 2 years ago.
Lou Saban: You can get it done, you can get it done. And what’s more, you’ve gotta get it done.
Cheap vet that can still average 4.5 ypc and brings a lot of size. I don't see an issue with bringing him to camp. It's not like they were only going to carry 3 RBs all offseason.
He played well at the end of last season, but this is a bit of a head scratcher.
Bills sign vet . Cuts him after camp. RB on team gets injured , we sign back vet rb if no one signed him and he already has an idea what our offense is about.
Beane does this all the time with other positions as well.

Could be insurance in case they are worried about what Harris has left in the tank. Not that Murray would have much more theoretically but that about the only reason I can understand it beyond just camp competition.
COMING SOON...

I don't think we need to get any more worked up about signing an aging retread to be our #4 RB than we do about signing guys like Greg Mancz to serve as depth on OL. Probably won't make the team, and if he does, he won't see the field barring catastrophe.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?
Looks like the want every role on the team to have competition in camp…
Harris and Murray battle for short yardage RB.
Hmmm. He averaged 4.4 ypc and went for 760 yards last season?!? At age 32 that’s solid. maybe not a bad depth signing/camp competition for the Fresno guy.

I mean if it's little to no guaranteed money, then meh, I'm all for it.
He's been a running back, receiver (as a back), punt and kickoff returner. Offers a lot for one guy as a back up. Plus, 6'3" 230# well rested after a defensive stand can pound through the sweaty mens.

Brandon Beane told Latavius Murray the Bills wouldn't draft a running back if he signed - ProFootballTalk
Bills General Manager Brandon Beane wasn’t only thinking about draft picks on Saturday. He was also negotiating a free agent contract.
Beane said the signing of free agent running back Latavius Murray was negotiated during Day Three of the draft, with the Bills and Murray agreeing that if he would sign, they wouldn’t draft a running back.
