Dalvin Cook’s free-agent market may finally be heating up.

Cook is flying to New York on Thursday to take a visit with the Jets this weekend, according to multiple reports.

The running back has been a free agent since Minnesota released him last month. He’s long been linked to the Jets and Dolphins as potential teams to sign him, but this is the biggest signal of interest from either franchise.

Last week, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said on Cook, “You never want to say no to a great player.”

With quarterback Aaron Rodgers taking a significant pay cut, some of the money New York saved could be used to lure in Cook.

The injury occurred toward the end of practice during an 11-on-11 drill. Ramsey was matched up against receiver Tyreek Hill. Ramsey grabbed at his left knee while on the ground and was then attended to by trainers. He was evaluated on the side of the practice field before being carted to the locker room when the session was over.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson was seen limping off the practice field today and heading to the locker room with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

While the Jets are a few days ahead of both the Bills and the Dolphins, having started their training camp on July 20 due to them playing in this year’s Hall of Fame Game on August 3, losing a receiver early in the summer is not good news for a team whose offense needs to work on cohesion with its new quarterback.

Both the injury to Ramsey and the one to Wilson will be worth keeping an eye on over the next few days to see to what extent they will be limited in practice. The AFC East is considered one of the strongest divisions in the NFL, and two of the top contending teams losing prominent players this early could be game-changing.

Ramsey injured his knee during Thursday’s practice and medical testing revealed a torn meniscus, NFL Media reports. The Pro Bowler will undergo surgery Friday, which will determine how much time he will miss.
Ramsey will miss at least 6-8 weeks and likely much longer.

While Ramsey might be best known by Bills fans for calling Josh Allen “trash” once upon a time, he’s built a heck of a resume with three All-Pro nods and six Pro Bowls. This injury will directly impact the Week 4 matchup in Orchard Park, NY. Buffalo will visit Miami in Week 18 in early January, with Ramsey possibly back in the lineup.

Dolphins to sign Eli Apple - NBC Sports

One-on-one drills between receivers and cornerbacks just got a little more interesting at Dolphins training camp.

Miami is signing veteran corner Eli Apple to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

Apple, who turns 28 next month, spent the last two seasons with Cincinnati, where he began a feud with receiver Tyreek Hill. While the beef started when Hill was on the Chiefs, it continued last year after Hill was traded to the Dolphins.

“Monday practice gone be fun,” Hill posted on social media shortly after news broke of the signing.

Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins appears to be next in line to cash in and believes he should be, even if he intends to keep the focus on Miami's work as a team.
"The biggest thing with that, all that stuff, I just try to focus as much on ball as possible and leave all that other stuff up to the organization and my representation and just control what I can control with my guys and with this team," Wilkins said regarding his contract situation on Saturday, per the team transcript. "I definitely feel like I've done enough and done a lot to earn a new deal and a new contract; but again, I'm just focusing on ball and improving every day and just giving my all to this organization and hopefully they'll give their all back to me."
