    Bills to sign Brandon Shell

A fifth-round pick in the 2016 draft, Shell spent last season with the Dolphins. He appeared in 13 games with 11 starts and ended up playing 72 percent of the club’s offensive snaps.
Shell, 31, spent the previous two seasons with the Seahawks, starting 21 games for the team.
The Jets picked Shell with the 158th overall pick back and he spent his first four seasons with the team, starting 40 games.

He had a 65 pff grade, which isnt honestly that bad for their rankings. It would be nice to give some competition to Brown and Quessenberry

Solid move going into camp. Sounds like he'd be a dependable back-up.

Nothing wrong with as much competition as possible on the OL.

He was the one who blew the block that got Allen's elbow injured.

Shell has two things that weigh against him. 1. He's had trouble staying on the field. I don't think he has played a full yet. Last year, I think he played en every game after he was signed for week 6. 2. He appears to be strictly a right tackle. His ffet are too slow to move to the left. It's tough to be an offensive line backup player if you lack position versatility. My guess is the Bills would really like Brown to play up to his athleticism and start at right tackle and Tommy Doyle to play swing tackle, because he has enough athleticism for both spots and he's on a rookie deal.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

The more big fat O-lineman in camp the better.

Although him starting for 11 games at T for Miami and 21 games for Seattle over two years before that...two teams that were known for having less than average O-lines, raises question marks. But having starting experience is a plus.

At 31 years old, at worst maybe he can offer some experienced backup. Or at best, offer up some stiff competition for Spencer Brown.

It sure looks like Quessenbery is not long for the team which is a good thing. Hoping that Tommy Doyle steps it up too.

If he makes the team, it will be as a RT only. And if he starts, the lack of being able to play LT won't be an issue as there will be someone else for that role.
