Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has agreed to a five-year, $275 million contract that makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history, according to multiple reports.
The first overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Burrow still had two years remaining on his rookie contract, but the Bengals wanted to make sure he was under contract for a long time, and now they’ve done so.
Where does it end, with the NFL destroying its self?
Political correctness ( or cancel culture as it is called today) is a doctrine fostered by a delusional ,illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by MSM which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Harry S Truman 1941.
It is nuts.
Begs the question how much are these owners actually making?
Every QB has to beat the last one who signed.
This contract may cost the Bengals some of their firepower.
Let this be the start of the collapse!
Report- Tee Higgins, Bengals are not and have never been close on an extension - NBC Sports
I'm sure they make money They have so many revenue streams. The obvious one is the TV money, but they also have merchandise, advertising, concessions, tickets, luxury boxes....
I mean everything around here is the official something of the Baltimore Ravens. "The Official Supermarket of the Baltimore Ravens," "The official Car Dealership of the Baltimore Ravens", "The official eye care provider of the Baltimore Ravens." The companies have to pay to use the team name so they're making money off of every one of them.
But, it's gotten to the point where a team is going to have to win a SB on a QB's rookie contract because they won't be able to afford any other talent once their payday comes. Either that, or be brilliant at drafting.
Mark my words, in 3 years, they will regret this contract.
