    Re: Injuries

Hurts was eventually pulled with the Eagles down 24-0 and he went for more tests on the digit to rule out further issues. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that X-rays showed no fracture for the Eagles quarterback.

That report will also bring updates on the conditions of wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Brown hurt his knee Sunday and Smith did not play because of an ankle injury.

    Re: Injuries

The injuries to Miami’s group of linebackers continue to stack up.
In his Monday press conference, head coach Mike McDaniel said Andrew Van Ginkel, Jerome Baker, and Cameron Goode are all out for Saturday night’s game against Kansas City, with Baker and Goode done for the rest of the postseason.

Baker underwent wrist surgery for an injury suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Bills. Goode suffered a torn patellar tendon.
Van Ginkel, however, could be back at some point in the postseason if the Dolphins continue to advance.
The Dolphins have suffered several defensive injuries in recent weeks, particularly at outside linebacker. Jaelan Phillips suffered a torn Achilles during the team’s Black Friday win over the Jets and Bradley Chubb suffered a torn ACL during the Week 17 loss to Baltimore.

Too bad. I'd really like to see Miami take out KC, but between the injuries and weather report the Fins probably don't have a chance.

Beat the Steelers 1st ..... all that matters now!

Miami would not beat the Ravens they are beat up. (see post #202)

Plus they just beat the bejesus out of them (56-19)

So if we want the Ravens out it's more likely from the Texans or Browns.

I want the Ravens to face the toughest opponent possible.

Dolphins place Andrew Van Ginkel, Jerome Baker, Cameron Goode on IR

The Dolphins have made some roster moves official for a group that has continued to get hit hard by injuries.
Miami has placed linebackers Andrew Van Ginkel, Jerome Baker, and Cameron Goode on injured reserve, effectively ending their seasons.
Head coach Mike McDaniel had said on Monday that Baker and Goode were out for the postseason, with Van Ginkel’s status more up in the air. But by placing him on IR, Van Ginkel will be out for at least four weeks.
Needing edge rushers, the Dolphins formally announced that the team has signed Justin Houston and Bruce Irvin after both signings were reported earlier on Tuesday.

Tyler Higbee having MRI Monday to confirm torn ACL

    This one looked really bad.

Knees are not constructed to go that way.

Joe Thuney won’t practice Thursday, Andy Reid says he’s “not counted out”

Chiefs left guard Joe Thuney missed the AFC Championship Game with a pectoral injury but there’s a chance he could be back for Super Bowl LVIII.

Head coach Andy Reid said that Thuney won’t practice on Thursday. But Reid added that Thuney is, “making progress” and is “not counted out.”

“We’ll just see how he does,” Reid said.

Nick Allegretti started at left guard on Sunday against Baltimore.

Reid also confirmed that defensive end Charles Omenihu has a torn ACL and is out for the Super Bowl.
