Report- Patriots request interview with Lions assistant Tanner Engstrand
The Patriots requested permission to interview Lions pass game coordinator Tanner Engstrand for their offensive coordinator job, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.
Engstrand is expected to get consideration for the offensive coordinator position with the Lions if Ben Johnson gets the head coaching job with the Commanders. Engstrand also has worked with Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers’ new head coach.

The Raiders are sticking with Antonio Pierce after he went 5-4 as their interim head coach this season, but they opted to go in a different direction at General Manager.
Interim G.M. Champ Kelly was a candidate for the permanent position, but former Chargers G.M. Tom Telesco wound up being hired this week. Raiders owner Mark Davis said he “always felt that the Chargers had a scary type of roster” when Telesco was running their personnel department and that Telesco’s experience in the job provided the kind of balance he wanted with a first-time head coach.

Eagles hire Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator - NBC Sports
When Vic Fangio and the Dolphins announced a mutual parting after the end of Miami’s season, it didn’t take long for Fangio to be linked with the Eagles.That link is now official. The Eagles announced that Fangio is their new defensive coordinator on Saturday afternoon.
“Vic’s reputation obviously speaks for itself,” Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said in a statement. “He’s a brilliant defensive mind who has coached at a very high level in this league for many years. In my time spent with Vic, I’ve seen firsthand what makes him such a great coach – tremendous knowledge of the game, passion, and work ethic. I’m excited for our coaches and players to be able to learn from him and see it for themselves.”

Jerrod Johnson has second interview for Saints offensive coordinator
Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson has been making the rounds with teams looking for offensive coordinators and he’s making a second stop with the Saints.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Johnson is interviewing with New Orleans a second time on Saturday. This meeting is in person after their initial conversation took place remotely.
Johnson joined the Texans in 2023 and had a hand in quarterback C.J. Stroud’s excellent rookie season. If he gets the job in New Orleans, he’ll be working with a more experienced quarterback in Derek Carr.

Bengals receiver Tee Higgins has worn an orange helmet for all of his four-year NFL career. If Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has his way, Higgins will still wear an orange helmet in 2024. Without the stripes.

When the Chiefs traded for receiver Kadarius Toney during the 2022 season, they believed they’d gotten a steal in the form of a player with the talent to become their No. 1 receiver and a very affordable rookie contract that had more than two years left on its original four-year term.
Now, it’s fair to ask whether Toney will ever play for the Chiefs again.
He has played in only one game since lining up offside on the memorable catch-and-lateral from tight end Travis Kelce that would have become a potential game-winning touchdown from Toney. In that Week 15 win over the Patriots, Toney had a glaring drop that became an interception by New England.

New Falcons coach Raheem Morris has made his first significant hire.
Former Rams passing-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson will serve as the offensive coordinator in Atlanta, via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.
Robinson, 37, joined the Rams as assistant quarterbacks coach in 2019, six years after his playing career ended. He was a seventh-round pick of the Patriots in 2010, and he spent time with the Seahawks, Lions, and Bengals during his four-year career.

According to multiple reports, the team will interview Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson on Monday night and then move on to meet with Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald on Tuesday. Both coaches saw their teams lose on Sunday, so they can be hired right away.
Johnson and Macdonald are also slated to interview with the Commanders over the next two days. The Seahawks and the Commanders are the only teams currently looking for head coaches in the NFL.
The Seahawks have also had multiple interviews with Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.
