Lions re-sign Donovan Peoples-Jones - NBC Sports

Peoples-Jones signed a new deal with the Lions today, according to multiple reports.
Last year Peoples-Jones was traded from the Browns to the Lions just before the trade deadline. In eight games with the Lions, Peoples-Jones caught five passes for 58 yards and played 30 special teams snaps. This year the Lions will hope Peoples-Jones can get more involved, both in the passing game and potentially as a return man.

49ers re-sign WR Chris Conley - NBC Sports

The 49ers have re-signed receiver Chris Conley to a one-year deal, the team announced Saturday.
Conley, 31, became an unrestricted free agent Wednesday.
He played eight regular-season games and all three postseason games for the 49ers last season. Conley saw action on 110 offensive snaps and 73 on special teams in the regular season.

Michael Gallup scheduled to visit Panthers - NBC Sports

Gallup was released by the Cowboys on Friday and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that he is scheduled to visit the Panthers next week. It’s the first word of a visit for Gallup since he was let go in Dallas.

The Panthers traded for Diontae Johnson this week and they are also slated for a meeting with former Charger Mike Williams as they continue to look for pieces to put around quarterback Bryce Young in Young’s second season.

Seahawks sign Jerome Baker - NBC Sports

The Seahawks lost linebacker Jordyn Brooks to the Dolphins as a free agent and their plan to fill in for his absence will include a former Miami player.
Rosenhaus Sports announced that their client Jerome Baker has signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks after visiting with the team. The deal is said to be worth $7 million.
Baker was released by the Dolphins, so his addition will not factor into the compensatory draft pick formula for Seattle.

Berrios’ agents at Rosenhaus Sports announced that their client has agreed to a one-year deal with the AFC East club. Berrios will make up to $3 million under the terms of the pact.
Berrios joined the Dolphins last year after spending four seasons with the Jets and he appeared in 16 games. He caught 27 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown while also handling punt and kickoff returns. He averaged 10.2 yards on punt returns and 24.5 yards on kickoff returns.

Bears agree to terms with DE Jake Martin on one-year deal - NBC Sports

The Bears agreed to terms with defensive end Jake Martin on a one-year contract, the team announced Saturday.
Martin, 28, appeared in all 17 games with the Colts last season, playing 16 percent of the team’s snaps on defense and 25 percent on special teams.
He totaled seven tackles and two sacks in 2023.
Martin has appeared in 91 games with 15 starts over six seasons with the Seahawks (2018), Texans (2019-21), Broncos (2022), Jets (2022) and Colts (2023).

Potential tampering by Eagles, Falcons is very different - NBC Sports

The NFL is exploring whether the Eagles and Falcons engaged in tampering in the days preceding the official start of free agency. The two situations are vastly different, on the surface. And possibly beneath it.
The Eagles landed on the tampering radar screen because Penn State coach James Franklin spoke of the Eagles’ recruiting pitch to former Giants running back Saquon Barkley by saying that Barkley spoke directly to Eagles G.M. Howie Roseman during the 52-hour negotiating period. The Eagles issued a general denial of any suggestion that they speak to players represented by agents during the pre-free agency window for discussing deals with players still under contract with other teams. More importantly, Barkley said during his introductory press conference that he did not hear directly from Roseman during the negotiating window.

Eagles to sign Oren Burks - NBC Sports

Oren Burks is the latest signing to a group that’s also welcomed Zack Baun and Devin White to the fold this week. Dianna Russini of TheAthletic.com reports that it is a one-year deal worth up to $2.5 million.

Burks was a 2018 third-round pick by the Packers and spent four seasons in Green Bay before moving to the 49ers in 2022. He played 32 regular season games and six playoff games while starting nine time and playing a regular role on special teams.

Commanders sign Noah Igbinoghene - NBC Sports

Igbinoghene is signing with the Commanders, according to John Keim of ESPN.
The 30th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Igbinoghene spent his first three seasons in Miami but never became the type of player the Dolphins were hoping he would be. He started just five games in three seasons.
Last season, Igbinoghene was traded to the Cowboys and he played in just five games, mostly on special teams.

Commanders re-sign Efe Obada - NBC Sports

The Commanders announced that they have re-signed Obada this week. They did not announce any terms of the deal.

Obada has spent the last two seasons with the NFC East team, but his 2023 campaign was cut short by a pair of injuries. He opened the season on injured reserve due to a knee issue, played five games and then suffered multiple leg fractures in Week 11 to bring his year to an end.

Browns agree to terms with Tyler Huntley - NBC Sports

Huntley spent the last four years backing up Lamar Jackson in Baltimore, but Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports that he has agreed to sign with the Browns. The terms of the agreement are not known.

The Browns also signed Jameis Winston this week and they have 2023 fifth-rounder Dorian Thompson-Robinson on the roster behind Deshaun Watson as well. Josh Johnson and Malik Cunningham are now the reserve quarterbacks in Baltimore.

Odell Beckham Jr. says goodbye to Baltimore - NBC Sports

Odell Beckham Jr. has not found a home for the 2024 season yet, but it looks like Baltimore is out of the running.
Beckham signed a one-year deal with the Ravens last year and caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns to help the team earn the top seed in the AFC playoffs. He added four catches for 34 yards in the team’s two postseason games and the second of those games and it seems like the second of those games was the end of his time with the team because Beckham posted a farewell to Baltimore to his Instagram account.

Mike Williams to visit Jets, Steelers, Panthers this week - NBC Sports

Williams has scheduled meetings with the Jets, Steelers and Panthers, according to multiple reports.
The Jets are up first on Monday night, and it’s possible they could blow him away with an offer to try to get him to sign without making any more visits.
But more likely, Williams will hear what other teams have to say. That will include the Steelers and Panthers, and it may also include the Chargers, who cut Williams last week. The Chargers did that to clear $20 million in salary cap space, but that doesn’t preclude them bringing Williams back at a lower price.

Cowboys restructure Dak Prescott's contract, add $4 million in cap space - NBC Sports

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the team has converted Prescott’s $5 million roster bonus to a signing bonus in order to create cap space. The move also involved adding void years to Prescott’s contract and the result is $4 million in cap space for the current season.

Prescott’s cap number for the 2024 season is now $55.455 million and the void years mean the Cowboys will continue to carry him on their cap even if he were to move on after the 2024 season.

DL Jonah Williams visiting Vikings - NBC Sports

Veteran tackle Jonah Williams signed with the Cardinals as a free agent last week, but the defensive lineman of the same name is still looking for a place to play in 2024.
Williams’ search for a team has taken him to Minnesota. The Vikings announced that they are visiting with Williams on Monday.
It’s not the first time that the Vikings have shown interest in Williams. They claimed him off of waivers in 2021, but he was cut the next day after failing his physical.

Commanders sign Michael Davis

The Commanders announced on Monday that they have signed Davis as a free agent. The team did not announce any terms of the deal.
Davis made the Chargers as an undrafted rookie in 2017 and he spent the last seven seasons with the team. He was a starter for much of that time and has appeared in every game over the last two seasons.
