Van Ginkel is the latest defender to leave the Dolphins, following Christian Wilkins (Raiders), Brandon Jones (Broncos), Jerome Baker (free agent) Keion Crossen (free agent) and Xavien Howard (free agent).

He rejoins Brian Flores in Minnesota after the two spent three seasons together in Miami.

In five seasons with the Dolphins, he totaled 250 tackles, 17 sacks, 57 quarterback hits, two interceptions and four forced fumbles.

Van Ginkel ranks 43rd on PFT’s list of top 100 free agents.

The Packers saw Darnell Savage agree to a deal with the Jaguars earlier in the day and they have a couple of other safeties headed for free agency, so McKinney fits a clear need.
McKinney spent the last four seasons with the Giants and there was chatter that the team might use a transition tag on him before the deadline to do so earlier this month, but they passed and McKinney is now set to make more than he would have under those terms. He started every game for the Giants last year and had 116 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.

According to multiple reports, the Packers have informed Jones that he will be released after the club agreed to a free-agent deal with Jacobs on Monday.

At the beginning of the month, a report emerged that the Packers were talking to Jones about taking a pay cut. Those talks clearly broke down, with Green Bay electing to sign Jacobs instead.

Jones was set to have a cap number of $17.6 million in 2024. If the Packers wait until Wednesday to officially release him and give him a post-June 1 designation, they will save $11.9 million against the cap this season.

After spending the last three seasons with Tennessee, Autry is signing a two-year deal with Houston, according to multiple reports.
The initial reports indicate Autry’s deal is worth $10 million with $10.5 million guaranteed.
Autry, 33, had arguably his best season in 2023. He recorded a career-high 11.5 sacks with 12 tackles for loss and 17 quarterback hits. He appeared in all 17 games with 14 starts for Tennessee, playing 67 percent of the team’s defensive snaps.
Autry began his career with the Raiders as an underrated free agent in 2014 and appeared in 56 games for the club over four seasons. He signed with the Colts in 2018 and appeared in 40 games with 38 starts for the franchise over three years.

            Panthers to release Vonn Bell

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Panthers are going to release Bell. Bell is owed $6 million in guaranteed money, but releasing him will allow the Panthers to avoid paying a $3 million roster bonus.

Carolina will only clear a little over $1 million in cap space, but eating the guaranteed money and taking the rest of the cap hit shows how little new General Manager Dan Morgan and new head coach Dave Canales want to see him back in their uniform for the 2024 season.

According to multiple reports, Stone has agreed to a two-year deal with the Bengals. It’s a $15 million deal with a $6 million signing bonus for the former Raven.

Stone was a seventh-round pick in 2020 and spent time as a reserve before taking on a bigger role in his final two seasons with the team.
