All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.

Former Baltimore linebacker Patrick Queen is signing with Pittsburgh on a three-year-deal, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday, per a source.
Queen's deal is expected to be worth up to $41 million, per Rapoport. At $13.6 million per season, his salary ranks seventh-most among current inside linebackers.
For Pittsburgh, the hope is that he'll fill a big void in the middle of their defense that has largely been unfilled since Ryan Shazier's career-ending injury in 2017. The Steelers were gutted by injuries at the position, losing both Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander last season.

Free agent receiver Isaiah McKenzie is signing with the Giants, his representation, SportsTrust Agency, posted on social media. McKenzie will reunite with Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll, all of whom were together in Buffalo. He appeared in 13 games last season with the Colts before the team suspended McKenzie for conduct detrimental to the team. He totaled 11 receptions for 82 yards and no touchdowns. McKenzie, 28, entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick of the Broncos in 2017. He joined the Bills early during the 2018 season and played there until joining the Colts a year ago after his release from Buffalo.

The Broncos are bringing back tight end Adam Trautman on a two-year contract, Mike Klis of 9News reports. “I always wanted to come back,” Trautman told Klis. “I made that very known after the season to both George [Paton] and Sean [Payton]. I knew they had some work to do in the offseason. That was no secret with some of the moves they had to make. I was trying to stay patient. “I’m very happy. I made it clear to my agent, Chase [Callahan], that I wanted to be back here. I have my role carved out in this offense. I know the offense in and out better than I would argue anybody. The Patriots have agreed with tight end Austin Hooper on a one-year deal. Mike Reiss of ESPN reports the deal has a base value of $3 million, with a maximum value of $4.25 million. Hooper, 29, has a connection with first-year Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt from his two seasons playing for the Browns. He spent 2022 in Tennessee and last season in Las Vegas. Hooper, a two-time Pro Bowler, began his career as a third-round pick of the Falcons in 2016.

The Panthers have agreed to terms with receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette, the team announced Tuesday. After bouncing from Minnesota to Chicago and then Kansas City, Smith-Marsette has found a home. He will play a second season in a row at the same place. He entered the league in 2021 with the Vikings, and in eight games, Smith-Marsette caught five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. In 2022, he split time between the Chiefs and Bears.
