Josh Sweat restructures contract, stays with Eagles - NBC Sports

Sweat has agreed to a new deal that will keep him on the Eagles, according to multiple reports.
That comes a week after reports that the Eagles were talking about trading Sweat. It’s unclear how serious those trade talks got, but they now seem to be over.

Report- Solomon Thomas to re-sign with Jets - NBC Sports

Connor Hughes of SNY reports that the Jets will re-sign Thomas. No terms were reported, but Thomas signed a one-year deal to join the Jets in 2022 and he agreed to another one last year so it’s a good bet that it’s another one-year pact.
Thomas played in every game during the 2023 season and posted 31 tackles and a career-high five sacks as a regular member of the team’s defensive line rotation.

Browns hire Mike Vrabel as coaching and personnel consultant - NBC Sports

According to multiple reports, the Browns are hiring Vrabel as a personnel and coaching consultant.
NFL Media noted Vrabel was with the Browns at the scouting combine in Indianapolis and will now formally join the staff.
A three-time Super Bowl champion as a player, Vrabel was also named the AP coach of the year in 2021 after leading the Titans to a 12-5 record.

Cardinals sign Khyiris Tonga

Defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga is headed to the desert.
The Cardinals announced that they have signed Tonga on Friday. It is a one-year deal for the former Bear and Viking.
Tonga spent the last two years in Minnesota and saw action in 25 games for the Vikings. He had 43 tackles, a half-sack and four passes defensed for the NFC North team. He had 24 tackles and a forced fumble during his lone season with the Bears.

Steelers agree to trade Kenny Pickett to Eagles - NBC Sports

Kenny Pickett is headed to the other side of Pennsylvania.
According to multiple reports, the Steelers have agreed to trade Pickett to the Eagles.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Pittsburgh will receive a third-round pick (No. 98) and two 2025 seventh-round picks. In addition to Pickett, Philadelphia will receive a fourth-round pick (No. 120) to complete the deal.
The No. 20 overall pick of the 2022 draft, Pickett started 24 games for Pittsburgh over the last two seasons, compiling a 14-10 record.

Chargers re-sign Easton Stick - NBC Sports

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Chargers have agreed to terms with Stick on a new deal. The quarterback joined the team as a 2019 fifth-round pick and will resume his role as Justin Herbert’s backup.
Stick was tabbed for more than holding a clipboard after Herbert’s season-ending finger injury last year. He started the final four games of the season, which marked the first extended playing time he received in his NFL career.

TE Tanner Hudson re-signs with Bengals - NBC Sports

The Bengals re-signed unrestricted free agent Tanner Hudson to a one-year contract Friday, the team announced.
Hudson, a fifth-year player out of Southern Arkansas University, joined the Bengals’ practice squad during the 2022 season but didn’t play a down with them until 2023.
He had a career year last season with 39 receptions for 352 yards and his first touchdown. Hudson, 29, played 276 offensive snaps and 31 on special teams in 12 games.

Russell Wilson- Several teams were interested, Pittsburgh is where I wanted to be - NBC Sports

Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson said at his introductory press conference in Pittsburgh today that several teams were interested in signing him in free agency.
Wilson did not name those teams, but he said picking Pittsburgh was easy because he loves everything about the team and wants to help the franchise win its seventh Lombardi Trophy.
“I was fortunate to have several teams call, but this was the place I wanted to be,” Wilson said. “To be a Pittsburgh Steeler, to wear the black and gold, it’s a true honor, it’s tradition, it’s history. There’s six trophies in there. We’re coming to get a seventh.”

Report- Panthers agree to one-year deal with Jordan Fuller - NBC Sports

The Panthers are signing free agent safety Jordan Fuller to a one-year deal, Joe Person of TheAthletic.com reports.
Fuller, 26, spent his first four seasons with the Rams after they made him a sixth-round pick.
In 2023, Fuller played all 17 games and totaled 94 tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and eight pass breakups.
It was a bounce-back season for Fuller after playing only three games in 2022 because of a hamstring injury.
