Pennsylvania governor pushes for Pittsburgh to host the 2026 or 2027 NFL draft - NBC Sports
Shapiro wrote a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to say that the state and the Steel City are an ideal location for the draft.
“Pittsburgh has established itself as one of the most dynamic cities on the East Coast — and the birthplace of professional football,” Shapiro said. “Pittsburgh is the best choice in the country to host the NFL Draft.”
Shapiro said the draft and its surrounding activities would have 350,000 visitors and an impact on the Pittsburgh-area economy worth $100 million.
For half a century, the draft was always in New York City, and although the event’s stature grew as a major television event, it was never seen as a big deal as an in-person fan experience. But in 2015 and 2016 the draft moved to Chicago and was accompanied by a major outdoor fan attraction, and since then it has been viewed by both the NFL and the host cities as major tourism event.

Will Steelers pursue Brandon Aiyuk? - NBC Sports
Via Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, the Steelers “have looked into” the possibility of trading for Aiyuk. Coincidentally, or not, Aiyuk has tweeted (or posted or whatever) at Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, asking whether he agrees with those who say that Aiyuk and Tomlin look alike.
Aiyuk, a second-team All-Pro in 2023, is due to make only $14.12 million in 2024. The Steelers recently traded receiver Diontae Johnson, so they have a need. They also have a knack at finding receivers in the draft.

Marvin Harrison Jr. will not work out at Ohio State Pro Day - NBC Sports
Ohio State’s Pro Day is today, but Ohio State’s best prospect won’t work out.
Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is not working out, according to Albert Breer.
That follows a Scouting Combine in which Harrison also declined to participate. He likely believes his college tape is the best thing for teams to use to evaluate him.
That’s probably true: If Harrison runs a slow 40-yard dash time, it’s just giving teams data with which to compare him unfavorably to the other top wide receivers in the draft.
