The Cowboys keep trying to change the meaning of the term "all-in" - NBC Sports

Jerry Jones hasn’t put his football team in the Super Bowl, or even in the NFC Championship game, since 1995. Keeping his franchise at an extremely high degree of national prominence for the past 30 years without significant on-field success is arguably more impressive than winning a Super Bowl during those three decades.

Patriots posture for "unprecedented deal" at No. 3 - NBC Sports

It might take more than flowers to get Robert Kraft to send the third overall pick to the Vikings.

The Patriots are posturing for an “unprecedented deal” to move out of the third overall pick. That’s the term used in Sunday’s item from Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.

They want a “blockbuster” offer, per Reiss. Otherwise, they’ll draft a quarterback of their own in that spot.

It’s hard not to view it as puffing. No one knows whether any of the top prospects will become franchise quarterbacks. No one knows where the best quarterbacks in football will come from.

Xavier Legette- Panthers told me they’re hoping I make it to second round

Legette said that he’s spent a lot of time with the Panthers over the course of the pre-draft process and that the team has suggested that they will be picking him if he remains on the board through the end of the first round on Thursday night.
“I’ve met with the Panthers about four or five times,” Legette said, via John Crumpler of USA Today. “The relationship, it just keeps continuing to grow. They’re really hoping I can make it the second round. They keep on telling me if I’m sitting at 33, they’re gonna take me.”
Legette had 71 catches for 1,255 yards and seven touchdowns for the Gamecocks last season. If other teams want to see if that production translates to their offense, they may have to jump the Panthers to get a chance to see the wideout in their uniform.

    Commanders release Shaka Toney

The Commanders have moved on from Shaka Toney.
Washington announced on Monday morning that the club has released the defensive end.
Toney, 26, was just reinstated after being suspended last April for violating the league’s gambling policy.

Broncos unveil new uniforms - NBC Sports

The team is changing their uniforms for the first time since the 1997 season and revealed what they are calling the Mile High Collection on their website. The uniform features white, orange and blue jerseys and they will be paired with pants in all three colors.

Per a release from the team, the sleeves “show a mountain peak created from the linework within the team’s logo” and the pants also pay homage to the mountains. The team will pair their uniforms with a pair of helmets. Their main helmets will still be blue and their alternate headgear will be white.

Report- Eagles GM Howie Roseman is making calls about trading up in the first round

Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman has been making phone calls to get an idea of what teams picking higher than the Eagles would be looking for to swap with Philadelphia, which has the 22nd overall pick. The Eagles own two second-round picks (their own and the Saints’), so they have the ammunition to move up if there’s a player they like who they don’t expect to be there at No. 22.
Last year Roseman gave up the Eagles’ 2024 fourth-round pick to move up one spot and draft defensive tackle Jalen Carter. The year before that Roseman gave up a fourth-round pick and two fifth-round picks to move up two spots and draft defensive tackle Jordan Davis. And the year before that, Roseman gave up a third-round pick to move up two spots and draft wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

Bears will unveil plan for new stadium in Chicago - NBC Sports

“The Chicago Bears, in collaboration with city officials and stakeholders, will host a press conference on Wednesday, April 24, to announce their plans for a state-of-the-art, publicly owned enclosed stadium, along with additional green and open space with access to the lakefront for families and fans, on the Museum Campus,” the statement said.

The Bears purchased land in the suburb of Arlington Heights that they said they would build a stadium on, only to backtrack when they were told the property taxes on that property would be significantly higher than they expected. What kinds of tax breaks and taxpayer financing the Bears are expecting on their proposed stadium in the city remains unclear and will be a major question facing the team as it tries to get its stadium project done.

What will Falcons' punishment for tampering with Kirk Cousins be? - NBC Sports

If the Falcons get whacked for Cousins talking to the head athletic trainer, a third-round pick would be the punishment — if precedent means anything. If the Falcons are punished for all violations, it could stack into a far more significant punishment.
Again, it all comes down to what the league wants to do. Did they investigate aggressively? Will they seize upon the evidence hiding in plain sight? Will they just brush multiple instances of rules violations under the rug and move on? Will Rich McKay’s role on the Competition Committee get the Falcons better treatment.

Jim Irsay disputes police report of a "suspected overdose" in December - NBC Sports

Colts owner Jim Irsay hasn’t been seen much publicly since December when police and paramedics responded to a 911 call to Irsay’s Carmel residence. He was found unresponsive and treated with Narcan, and a police report listed the incident as an “overdose” and “overdose/poisoning” with the note that officers were uncertain what medications or other substances Irsay may have ingested.

The Colts issued a statement saying Irsay was being treated for a severe respiratory illness.

Chiefs announce extensions for Andy Reid, Brett Veach, Mark Donovan - NBC Sports

The Chiefs have signed president Mark Donovan, General Manager Brett Veach and coach Andy Reid to contract extensions, the team announced Monday night.
The length of the extensions is unknown, with the Chiefs saying only that “the agreements ensure the leadership team of the Chiefs will remain in place for the long-term future.”
“Mark, Brett and Andy have achieved historic success together, and we are thrilled that they will continue in their roles for many years to come,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said in a statement. “Individually, Mark, Brett and Andy each represent the best in the National Football League at their respective positions, and together, they make up one of the finest leadership teams in all of professional sports. They have been tremendous leaders for this organization on and off the field, and we look forward to their continued success in the years ahead.”
Donovan, Veach and Reid have been together in Kansas City since 2017. Donovan has been with the organization since 2009 and became team president two years later. Veach arrived in 2017.

Tyreek Hill felt “disrespected” when Chiefs gave Isiah Pacheco No. 10

Pacheco took No. 10, Hill’s old number as soon as he arrived in Kansas City.
In two seasons, Pacheco has gained 2,139 yards from scrimmage, scored 14 touchdowns and won two Super Bowls.
Hill is a big fan of Pacheco’s, but he is not a big fan of Pacheco’s choice of a jersey number.
“Kansas City’s got a real good running back. He’s a dawg. You can hear and see every step he takes he runs so hard,” Hill said on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast . . . I did feel disrespected when they gave him 10 though. I didn’t like that. There’s only one 10 now. There should only be one 10 in your heart.”
The Chiefs have not missed Hill despite his 3,509 receiving yards, 20 touchdowns and two All-Pro honors the past two seasons with the Dolphins.
